    Called 111 anout my 3 year old daughter who had a 40 degree temprture and some of the simptoms of strep a after being on hold for over 2 hours was told a doctor would call me back within the hour as of wrighing this it has been 27 hours and not had a call back yet luckily my daughter seems to be getting better otherwise it would gave been a trip to a and e which this service is ment to stop won't bother next time and will just got to a and e if its out of doctors hours

    Having been on hold for 4.5hrs over 2 calls, I have been disconnected off them both! Can’t go to a&e as my 3 year old has strep. Worst service ever.

    My son had fever over 40 I called 111 for advice at night how to decrease fever as paracetamol did not helped...was told I have one hour slot and a doctor will call me back, had no call from the doctor at all. Somebody called me 15 hours later but not doctor or nurse. I was asked if I called GP surely I called 111 because I needed help at the night, what is the point of this service really it needs to be restructured. It is very disappointing, not helpful at all.

    Tried calling 111, no answer. Tried online 111, told nurse will call within 1hour, 3 hours later no call, useless service, sort it out

    Phoned 5am 31/12/22 flu / chest infection .. dr phoned 7.30am .. asessed at wombwell 10.20am prescribed antibiotics… remarkable response… professional understanding dr .. prescribed appropriates antibiotics .. thank you so much

    Used online service on 7th, waited 2 hours for a call and only received a text saying I missed their calls, I had no phone calls Used online service again on 8th, waited 2 hours and nothing. I was supposed to be called better 2:45pm and 4:45pm. Tell me why they called at 4:55 and 5:31 on the morning of the 9th? Over 12 hours later than the original time slot and at such a stupid time there’s very little change anyone will answer at that time In addition, the second call I received left a voicemail saying “this is our second attempt to contact you, we have now closed this case” but the online service clearly states they will call 3 times before closing the case 111 online says you’ll get 3 calls before the case is closed, my first attempt I had zero calls before the case was closed and my second attempt I had two calls over 12 hours late before they closed the case. Neither of those are anywhere near in line with what the NHS promises from this service

    I called around 19.00 on the 7th Dec about symptoms of vaccinations I've had. The website it self said to call 999 as I am going blue and shivering but I do have a temp. I've been and still on the call 21.48. This is to hear about advice. I've used it in the past but this is ridiculous alot faster to go to a 24hour pharmacy or my a&e but I unfortunately cannot travel on my own due to seizures. I honestly just want some advice as my arm is swollen in so much pain and I do not know what to do. People have told me to call 111. But nothing. Its insane to know that this is where our taxes are going. Honestly you are better off going straight to A&E or wait until the next morning for your pharmacy. Over 2hours and they continue to say 3 minutes. Read other comments

    Called first thing in the morning. Over hour wait. Sick 3 year old. Also with scarlet fever and strep a it's worrying. Spoke to them on the urgent list. Call within 2 hrs. Yeah right 3 hours later a call and chat with a nurse. Thought yay just to have a chat and be told on the urgent line for a doc to call and red flag it. Now 11pm no call from them and sat on a call trying to get an answer again to start all over and 45 mins in and no sign of answering to me. Daughter sore throat. Earache. Swollen glands. white tongue. Vomiting. Shivering with a temp. Really unwell and at the point do we drag her out to a and e and sit in there for hours and hours. Or wait till gp reopens for an attempt at seeing them/getting antibiotics. Two other children within 7 days treated for scarlet fever yet 111 not taken us seriously. Im terrified shes not going to be OK and not sure really on what to do with the dreadful weather taken her out to sit in a room or keep her at home and hope she fights this alone. Disgraceful we haven't had a call back and just shows they don't care she's under 5. Can't use online stuff has to be a call so 13hrs later from initial call and nothing from 111 it's atrocious. I know its busy but this is disappointing and disgusting.

    Used online service at 9:30 was told to expect a call back from nurse within the hour. Am still waiting at 18:10? Have a cough that has turned into a chest infection, even if they ring back now, no chance of antibiotics today. How I long for the days when your GP had to provide an out of hours service.

    Every department is closed over the Bank Holiday so respectfully they are extremely busy. My daughter is currently heavily medicated very poorly disabled and on steroids, she had become very unwell violently sick over night,i cant carry her to move her, shes larthargic,dizzy shaking like leaf, can't keep meds, food, water down for over 24 hours now! we called 111... 3 hours later finally managed to get through I was cut off 2x after nearly an hour on hold both times, 3rd time lucky managed to talk to someone, i explained the prescribing doctor again has dropped her steriod dose dangerously to low to taper safely. Was told a doctor would be calling me back within one hour! 4 hours go by so I call back as my daughters getting worse laying on the floor absolutely exhausted cant stand the light, I explain no one has called! Was told it was escalated to someone to definitely call back soon, its now midnight and I called at 9am! No one has called to help and my daughter is still very sick!
