    I appreciate the call handler and clinicians services... However a person calling in isn't ready for thoysa ds of questions Especially answering g a yes or no to a symptom is like dismissing a symptom which is mildly there and accounts for a condition. Again irrelevant data collecting information when someone's ill is not acceptable. Also the concern was just whether or not I should continue my medication until the GP is back from weekend. But that was never answered. The format and expertise at this service needs to be levelled up really quickly. It's painful to be on the phone for almost 2 hours and not getting any certain answer. I can understand the wait time and appreciate how busy it is. But if its mostly generic response or no response at all then one has wasted 2 hours of time for those who possibly may have had a bigger emergency. Please increase expertise and efficiency.

    Firstly NHS workers are amazing and stretched. However this system is appalling. I called 4 hours ago and was referred to a gp. Still waiting for the call back.

    I had pain in my gum and none of the local dentists would be able to see me and suggested that I call 111. After a short wait I was put through to a very helpful and understanding woman who logged a callback with a nurse, within an hour had a call from a nurse and dentist and my problem was resolved. Really happy with the service.

    I have Atrial Fibrilation and am on medication which in the past has caused a severe allergic reaction, I was told by my GPto contavt him if I ever experienced this again which I did yesterday so I phoned the GP which needless to say wasnt open bank holiday, and was advised on answer phone to phone 111. Phoned at 9,30 yesterday morning . Took nearly an hour for anyone to answer, Told them that Id had the severe reaction and had pins and needles in my arm. Was told someone would phone back within the hour.The phone call came at 2,15 this morning nearly 17 hours later, I am 73 and a phone call at that time was alarming and the person on the phone appeared to have no medical knowledge at all. I will phone my GP today and hope they are working today. I have always had great admiration for NHS. My daughter is a paramedic and I know that the service has been abused by many people but I am a 73 year old man with a medical condition and up until 3 years ago rarely bothered the doctor, Absolutley disgraceful service, My daughter works bank holidays and nights and sees her patients. But this service was beyond a joke,

    Recently contacted 111 on a Sunday for my 82 year old mum who has cancer and clearly had a water infection. Received call back from doctor 36 hours later! By then I had got her in with her GP and she was on antibiotics! I’ve logged another call tonight (Saturday) as concerned she has chest infection. We called 5 hours ago and still not had call back from a doctor. I’ve been holding on for 50 minutes to try and get an update as I will need to go out and collect if they prescribe anything and it’s nearly 10pm! I went to a pharmacist first but he said he couldn’t recommend anything due to her cancer and I should call 111. I was reluctant due to previous experience but he urged me to do so saying things were different now. Clearly not!

    Contacted 111 on Friday evening as the GP was shut and I was struggling with a chest infection and had no medication, 50 mins to get through and referred for a call back. Received a call at 11:56pm 6 hours later - which I missed as I was vomiting due to severe cough - no attempt at a call back from the nurse though they’re meant to try at least 3 times. Contacted 111 again following day at 12:30pm and got a referral for a call back, got a call at 12:45am asking if I still needed a callback which I said yes to, then a further call at 9:43am asking again if I needed a callback, which I said yes to. Got a call back at 11:30am from a doctor which went straight to voicemail where I was told to call 111. I know the NHS is stretched but this is a no-service service. It’s pointless, dangerous and will lead to serious consequences.

    Needed to ask an urgent question about my blood pressure situation and medication as I’m at risk from stroke Called at 1am two hours later still sitting here waiting for a call back am I supposed to sit here all night, what a complete joke this NHS is

    Called 111 first week of January 23 , Received a call back and 10 questions later I was advised to wait for another call back which did not happen. Absolutely a poor service and one I will not recommend.

    I called 111 today with a concern for my 4 year old after GP practice refused to see him. Spoke to a lovely lady, very empathetic and listened to everything I said. They referred me back to GP on a 2 hour referral. GP again refused to see so I called 111 back and spoke to another lovely lady who was really helpful and arranged for an emergency Dr to call me within 2 hours. Call came approx 15 mins later. Dr was also really helpful and got me a further appointment. All staff very helpful and kind every step of the way and arranged the treatment my child needed in a very timely manner.

    My mother, 98yrs old, had had chronic diarrhoea for 2 days the problem not getting improving at all. Rang 111 for advice. Was told we required a call back and would receive this within 2 hours. We rang at 13.55 and received the call back at 23.30. Not satisfactory for a lady of this age.
