    i requested a call back online from 111 within 2 hours a nurse called me and requested photos of my child’s throat! A doctor rang me back within 15 minutes and prescribed me antibiotics! so much better than sitting on hold to doctors and waiting hours in A&E!

    I have previously had good experiences of 111. Rang today at 8:45am. In fairness I only waited about 20 mins for my call to be answered. I rang for advice due to my son having scarlet fever symptoms, rash, swollen glands. I was told I would have a call from a clinician in two hours. Got a call at 12:30 saying there would be a delay. Updated that he also had red bumps on his tongue. It’s now almost 8pm and still not had a call. I appreciate that the NHS are under staffed and extremely busy but just a call to say that the advice is to contact the GP tomorrow would have been enough as that’s what I’m going to have to do now anyway.

    Phoned at 7am today. Told I would get a call back within 6 hours. 7 hours had passed, phoned again as symptoms getting worse, again still waiting a call back 4 hours later. Should have gone to a&e at least I would have been treated by now.

    Filled in online nhs form and was advised to ring 111 and mention that I had to be seen within 6 hours. I was told a nurse will ring me back. Still waiting and it’s been 8 hours. Rang back with worse symptoms but it took over an hour to get through. Still no call back

    Used online service and used the option for a nurse to call within 2 hours, had a text to say I didn’t answer but didn’t have any phone calls. The NHS website says they should try to call 3 times but they didn’t bother calling once. There’s no point having this service to take pressure off the 111 call centres when you have to call 111 and wait in the queue anyway, just to find out why no one bothered to contact you

    Have called 3 time over this December and the wait for someone to pick up has been 40 minutes, 1 hour 30 minutes and then 15 minutes. The second call I made was a pretty urgent health condition of a child and I was told someone would call me back and they never did. The second call was an equally serious call about an adults health and again told someone would call me back and they never did. In my lifetime I have dialled 111 many times and maybe 25% of the time I'm told someone will call me back they never do and it's not because my contact number was incorrect I know that for sure. The service is no longer a viable option for me and my family, it's just plain safer just to drive to a&e which is only going to make a&e wait times worse

    Not wanting to burden A&E, I called 111. Having just had surgery, I had been having awful migraines for four days, which felt pretty serious. After calling and being told the queue was 20 minutes, it took well over two hours to get through. I was told I’d be called - five hours later I got a call from a nurse who said a doctor would call. Another five hours later I had a call from a receptionist saying a doctor would call any time between 10pm and 8am. Given that I’ve had a migraine for days and called at over 12 hours ago, I don’t really want to be woken up if I can manage to get to sleep. I know the NHS is struggling, but genuinely what is the point in this service? All they’ve done is waste time and frustrate someone who already felt dreadful.

    Words cannot explain how compassionate and understanding the 111 services (including the mental health crisis team) have been for me. I would recommend anyone going throught mental health difficulties to contact them. They always act promly and refer oneself to the relavant services. The online prescription services has been my saving grace this year. As I do not have access to G.p services. This was a brilliant idea as without the online emergency prescription services, I would have to attend A & E to get my medication which would add unnecessary stress, not only on me but to staff at a&e who are treating unwell people. Thank you to the brilliant staff that have supported me and helped me throught these difficult times

    Online call back requested, 15 hours later no callback so I go on the phone as symptoms are getting worse and still on hold after 2 hours! Is anybody working on the phones??
