    Have phoned 3 times today. 2 x 55min calls cut off by 111. Further call waited for 1hr 44mins and then cut off. No wonder a&e depth are under such pressure.

    Extremely sad to be writing this poor review but 111 is not fit for purpose. Called last night to ask some advice as I thought I might have dvt in my calf. Just clinical questions, no real feelings, was told that someone would call back…17 hours later I get a call back (nice lady with feelings) to say sorry no one available to speak to me but someone would be calling soon to help. An hour or so later a man who couldn’t care less (admin staff) called to say I could wait for my gp practice to open or speak to a pharmacist or go to a&e, all of things I could of worked out for myself, total waste of time and waiting up most of the night when I could have gone straight to a&e last night but didn’t want to waste their time. Absolutely disappointed and still none the wiser about my symptoms…

    Called 111 at 7pm after discussing symptoms I was told I would receive a call back within 6 hours. It’s now 12pm the next day and no attempt to call me back has been made.

    The gentleman i spoke to was extremely helpful and refurred me straight away. Excellent service. I would like to thank 111 for all the support and help. I will definitely use this service again if needed as he put me to ease. The GP he contacted called within an hour and was also very professional and helpful.

    Daughter unwell had temp for 5 days now and not improving told by 111 at 13.30 she will need to be seen at a walk in today and will get a call back within hour to inform me where to take her. 12 hours later still waiting for that phone call, when I have called them to chase this at 15.30 was told I am in the que for a call back. Not safe. This has caused a delay in my daughter receiving her treatment. Not fit for purpose!!!

    Called at 11am Saturday morning.Told lady my daughter needed antibiotics as there were white spots on her tonsils. She told me to go to the local pharmacy and tell them 111 sent us. I asked her would they be able to prescribe my daughter antibiotics, she said yes the pharmacy can, as it’s linked to the hospital. Went to the pharmacy, saw the pharmacist who took one look in my daughters mouth to say, yes she needed antibiotics but he couldn’t prescribe them! A wasted journey! He told me to go home and call 111 again, which I did. Went through the whole rigmarole again, and was told the pharmacist should have called 111 on my behalf. Was told I’d get a call back. 3 hours later at 2.30 called again … this was the 3rd time today! To be told a doctor will call and she was calling them straight away… that was over 3 and a half hours ago. It’s now been 7 hours since I’ve called initially this morning. Meanwhile my daughters getting worse! Never again will I use 111. My advice ? Go to A&E at least you won’t feel that you’ve been forgotten! Some progress in 2022!!!

    Phoned up as my daughter who is 3 has been really unwell after coming off antibiotics. Tried everything to sort her out before ringing 111. She’s struggling with her chest, temperature at 38.8 and has now lost her voice. 36 hours we’ve been waiting for a call back. I rang them back 5 hours ago and got told they would get in touch very soon as an urgent referral. Still waiting. Will be taking her to our local A&E when it opens.

    Gave me the wrong information for my child. Waited all day for a call back from a refferal they said they had sent. When I called back I was told I was supposed to have rang the service. I rang the service who told me they were frustrated with 111 and they had nothing to do with 111. This is my second bad experience with 111 and will not be using the service again. This service should be abolished and the money put into A&E services.

    I phoned 111 regarding my 18 month old on a Wednesday evening at 11pm he was struggling to catch his breath, was crying when he coughed and couldn't settle and just not his overall normal self, we did take him to the gp, earlier in the day and they said if he got worse to phone 111, I spoke to a lovely lady she got me to examine him and said she'd get an out of hour doctor to call me the doctor phoned me at about 12pm asked the same sort of questions and said that my son needed to be seen, and that I would get a phonecall back to say where I needed to take my baby to be seen, I stayed up all night untill 5am and had never received a phonecall back to where and when my boy needed seeing, so we took him to A@E which was an 11 hour wait, and I wasn't waiting for that long, so we took him back to our gp on Thursday and it was confirmed he had acute bronchitis, I was tired, worried, and anxious and I never got a call back he is a baby and I heard nothing. I normally have no issues with the NHS as they all work extremely hard but this did annoy me, my child needed help because he was in so much pain and discomfort and no-one saw him.
