    The staff were very welcoming and supportive and also explained everything very well and slowly so i understood the process. They were kind and caring. I would recommend them to other family and friends if they needed similar treatment.

    From 1st appointment the staff were very helpful and put me at ease, they explained what would happen with the eye surgery which all went to plan and said to call them if I had any worries after surgery

    My 2nd cataract surgery was in my opinion a superb example of patient care. My surgeon and all the other staff were great ambassadors for CHEC.

    Not possible to rearrange my appointment (cancel & rebook) online - can only do by telephone. When I asked the operator why they didn't provide an online option (given that their initial appointment scheduling is done electronically by text offering choice of appointments, so I expected the same for rearranging), they said something to the effect that they didn't do that as otherwise people could be cancelling & rebooking their own appointments all the time. As the 'customer' that's kind of the point - it needs to be easy to cancel & rearrange appointments because other things come up and it's not always easy to make telephone calls (I was abroad and tend not to make/take voice calls). I had to email to cancel (actually I've no idea if the appointment has actually been cancelled, not had any written/text confirmation), lots of missed calls from them with no message left when I was abroad & at home (I don't pick up calls from numbers I don't recognise & repeated calls get blocked on my phone). Still got to find time to call them - Chec's service would be much improved by offering an online booking, cancellation & rearrangement option.

    Excellent treatment. Unexpectedly prompt, courteous. Interaction with surgeon was a bit brief, but so was the whole procedure! No follow up call next day, which would have been nice. I could have told them how easy the whole experience was. A bit at sea now with very unbalanced vision and four weeks until optician appointment. I was so relieved to be out, that I did not have practical questions ready. So, maybe longer in despatch might be a good idea.

    I have now had both eyes done had my first one done on 02/04/2024 and my second done on 02/05/2024 both were a success . Had different surgeon’s for each Opperation the first was much more pleasant than the second, but I think this was because I was expecting it to be the same as the first each surgeon has there own techniques hence a different experience.

    Thank you to the caring and very skilful staff at CHEC Nottingham. I have had cataract surgery in both eyes and my extreme short sightedness corrected. I now have the best eyesight I have ever had in my life.
