  1. Review titled Out standing care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by June Atkins - Posted on 01 November 2023

My husband and I attended an and e in 31st October. He had suspected urine infection related to previous brachytherapy and he has sub pubic catheter. I do not know the name of the doctor we saw at around 11.30 pm but cannot praise his caring, professional and thoroughness too highly. We think he was outstanding He even rang as after we left an and e with further helpful advice that he had researched for us from uroligy. Despite the enormous pressure of work from an an and e absolutely full he made us feel that we were important to him and we in no sense felt rushed. Thank you

by David Littleton - Posted on 05 September 2023

Admitted to Pembury hospital for emergency hernia repair surgery and honestly can't begin to explain how impressed I was with the fantastic care I received from all staff. I was kept informed about my surgery throughout my stay and truly felt that staff went out of their way to ensure that I was comfortable and incredibly well looked after. An outstanding hospital full of kind, caring, friendly and highly skilled staff. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

  3. Review titled A & E Brilliant

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Margaret Prince - Posted on 17 August 2023

I attended A&E Sunday at 8pm. I'd caught my trouser leg with my other foot which caused me to fall very heavily onto block paving. I went down at an angle on my side and head. I had tripped on the Saturday evening, and it was the Sunday my left side was really giving me a lot of pain and around my eye (though not painful), was black down to my cheek and very swollen. My husband took me to A&E about 20:00. I checked in at the reception, a very efficient, friendly young lady swiftly saw to me and asked me to wait. I was then seen by a young women who took all my details, before I was processed. I was given an ECG, 3 X-rays and a CT scan, plus examinations and other chats and details. The Dr then let me (us) know that I had a cracked rib, severe bruising etc, and what do do if anything changed and how to treat my injury, and we left 23:30. The attention I received was exemplary, all the staff including a porter, I encountered were helpful, efficient, friendly as well as competent. They made what might have been a traumatic experience a very positive one. The Dr. was superb and made me feel like his only patient, with a great attitude. I would like the staff on duty that night (Sunday,13th August) to know that their effort and attitude was very much appreciated. With best wishes Margaret Prince

  4. Review titled Amazing care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ian Godfrey - Posted on 17 August 2023

My 94 year old mother had a fall in Tonbridge and was taken to the hospital by an Ambulance team that happened to be nearby. The care she got for everyone involved was just great to witness especially the 2 doctors that signed here off to go home. They gave so much care and respect it was very humbling and her age was clearly no barrier to her treatment which included a CT scan shortly after arrival at the hospital. Follow up care was also arranged and I just want to say a sincere thank you to all those involved.

  5. Review titled Great Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Frances Lyons - Posted on 23 August 2023

My son (10) had a potential neck injury from a sports camp and we are so grateful for the wonderful care he received from the ambulance staff, children’s A&E, the MRI scanning team and the Hedgehog Ward. It was really scary as he had a possible head/ neck injury and the staff were so thorough and kind even though they were so busy. All the doctors explained everything in easy to understand terms and left no stone unturned. The nurses were always helpful and kind even when we got a bit impatient to go home. Please can our thanks be passed to everyone involved and the orthopaedic doctor who saw us just before we went home (and to the other doctors too). Our sincere thanks to such hard working and excellent professionals.

  6. Review titled A massive thank you

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 August 2023

From the moment my daughter fell from her horse, the medical care at Pembury hospital has been quite incredible. The ambulance was with her within 8 minutes, where the paramedics attended to her injuries with expertise and sensitivity, helping my daughter come to terms with a broken leg for the second time. The junior doctors strike, certainly worked in her favour. A&E was remarkably quiet and she was attended to, fast and efficiently. Even to the point that she was assessed, x-rayed, procedure explained, pain management discussed and the op advised for the next day, before heading to a ward for a good night’s sleep. All in a matter of 8 hours from the fall. I would love to name each and every health provider who cared for my daughter over the 8 days at Pembury, but they know who they are, and we thank you will all our heart.

  7. Review titled Visit was pointless

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 August 2023

111 GP recommended that I get a particular scan done, A&E Dr refused to. Waiting over an hour to get samples taken, told results would take over 2 hours. No point turning up to A&E for help unless your bleeding or in an ambulance. I now have to wait to see my GP to get a referral for the tests & scan I was told to get in the first place. I’m normally full of praise for hospital staff but I felt very let down by the Dr I saw today.

  8. Review titled Professional and Courteous Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mark Hamilton - Posted on 25 August 2023

Following a video call with a doctor, through my private insurance, I was advised to attend A&E as soon as possible as I had chest pains. The team at A&E, took my bloods, did 2 ECG's and an X-ray and diagnosed muscular damage, which I thought it was. I was impressed with the support and service that all the team provided and throughly appreciated, Thank You!!!

  10. Review titled Amazing staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Claire Fletcher - Posted on 30 June 2023

I recently attended the admissions/short stay surgical unit. From the moment I arrived on the unit, until discharge later that same day the whole experience was faultless. The staff were helpful, professional and friendly, from reception right the way through to the short stay ward. It is a very busy unit and you can see they all are working really hard but still manage to put the patient first. The staff in the anaesthetics room and ward staff were amazing. I was a little apprehensive about procedure, but the staff in pre op put me at ease. The after care on the ward even down to the cups of tea and sandwiches was great. Thank you to all the staff.
