  1. Review titled Excellent treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Maureen - Posted on 20 December 2022

I had a small implant put in by the nurse led clinic. Three nurses took care of me from getting me ready to discharging me. The treatment I received was excellent, the nurses were kind, considerate and friendly. They were caring, very concerned that I should know what was going to happen during and after the procedure. The machinery was set up for me and its use explained, I feel very, very fortunate to have such equipment available to me. I wish I could thank these three ladies by name. Kindness and compassion go such a long way and are so appreciated. Thank you.

  2. Review titled Excellent care and support

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Marilyn Major - Posted on 11 December 2022

During the past 12 months I have received the very best care from the team of physiotherapists in St Richards Munro Unit. After I fractured my patella I thought I would be unable to walk easily, pain free again. Thanks to the encouragement excellent help and advice I have received from the physiotherapists I am well on the way to full recovery. I will never be able to thank everyone enough, the Exercise Gym sessions in the Munro Unit have been invaluable. I wish to thank the friendly helpful receptionists in the Munro Unit and all the doctors nurses and staff in St Richards who have helped me so much.

  3. Review titled Miserable experience, left in tears!

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 December 2022

Went to A&E with pancreatitis. Was triaged quick, said it was very painful. Told to wait in waiting room. It was absolutely freezing, after 4 hours I was frozen to the bone and in pain. I got very tearful and just had to leave, just wanted to get home to get to bed and take pain relief. Lucky I had morphine at home. I knew what was wrong with me as I have had pancreatitis earlier this year and spent 5 days in hospital, it’s a serious condition but obviously the triage nurse didn’t think so as other patients who came after me and were well enough to smoke outside got to see a doctor a lot quicker. While I was huddled over in pain and trying to get warm I could see that the floor was filthy, didn’t see a cleaner once while I was there. Why is the reception area so cold, is it deliberate so people will leave. It was an utterly miserable experience!

  5. Review titled Worrying

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 November 2022

After visiting my friend in Birdham ward twice in the last week I am very concerned by the lack of communication from the staff and even more so the non existence of any mental or physical stimulation being provided to the patients, I was quite horrified that my friend was expected to just lay there. I’m disgusted and saddened that there is no thought put in to help these people along through the day, not even a TV.

  6. Review titled Med team great receptionist spectacularly bad.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 November 2022

Receptionist in CT scanning barely made eye contact with my 76 yr old father in law. Muttered her questions, did not check whether he could hear her, when asked asked a question she rolled g her eyes and sighed. The person sitting with her was kind enough to explain the answer but working with live and potentially very sick people is clearly not her forte any more than working on a reception desk. She may be tired of or loathe her job but if that's the standard she can deliver at 9:45am on a Monday morning Lord help anyone meeting her by after lunch on Wednesdays.

I attended St Richard’s to undertake tests in three different Outpatients Departments. Each Dept was expecting me, the Receptionists were polite and helpful, and I was seen promptly. Thank you St Richard’s.

  9. Review titled Impressive service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Claire Bedford - Posted on 13 November 2022

I am leaving this review on behalf of my daughter, who recently had a baby at St Richards. From start to finish, the service she received was impeccable. The staff were professional, dedicated , helpful, caring and compassionate. My daughter has suffered from mental health problems for many years, and the staff were extremely sensitive to all her needs. Every time I visited my daughter, she was being checked or comforted by a member of the maternity team. Her baby daughter, who had jaundice , was also cared for with great compassion. My daughter was constantly being reassured about her baby’s health, as well as her own health and mental well being. I would like to express my deep felt gratitude to all staff involved in my daughter’s and granddaughter’s care, from the Labour Department, Special Care Baby Unit and Tangmere Ward. My daughter returned home, confident in her ability to look after her baby, thanks to the thoughtful care and attention she received.

  10. Review titled They truly need a pay rise.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 November 2022

As an unpaid carer for my elderly mother of 83, today discharged from The Chichester Suit (25-111-2022) 15.00hrs. Once again, hats off to the professional standards, and duty of care of St Richards Hospital staff Chichester. Unfortunately, since her return home, all expertise and care given was wasted, or forgotten. She will not however stop talking about Quote: “The best-looking Man I’ve ever seen” - Apparently a physiotherapist that walked her up and down the corridor teaching her how to use a Zimmer frame. Tomorrow, I must return to St Richards Pharmacy to pick up her incomplete prescription, and wondered if you could not find it in your heart to also include a few boxes Potassium bromide to calm her down, and take the edge off her?
