  1. Review titled Excellent

Rated 5 stars out of 5

A very impressive care performance in the handling of my wife, starting with a speedy response from the paramedics to my 111 call, followed by excellent care in A&E and subsequently in EAU, before my wife was eventually transferred to the respiratory ward. Many thanks to all.

  2. Review titled Fantastic Experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Amy - Posted on 29 January 2023

The A&E staff, ENT doctors, nurses and healthcare assistants made my time at the Royal Surrey a pleasant experience given the circumstances. They are so kind. I know they are ‘doing their job’ but they go above and beyond to ensure each and every patient feels comfortable and have everything they need. It was my first time staying overnight in a hospital and I was a lot younger than everyone else. The staff couldn’t have been kinder and I would recommend the hospital 100%!

Just a note to thank all staff of Albury Ward for their care of my wife over the last few days. Despite the ward obviously being very busy the care provided was excellent in all respects.

  4. Review titled Incredible care on maternity ward

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kerry Brown - Posted on 16 January 2023

I have had both of my children at Royal Surrey and cannot recommend the hospital highly enough. The staff are consistently brilliant and their ability to help with difficult deliveries whilst still being compassionate is second to none. The midwives are excellent and I have had good experiences under 2 different consultants (as there were complexities with both of my pregnancies).

  5. Review titled Wonderful staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Andrea - Posted on 14 January 2023

I attended A&E a few days ago with my child, which is unfortunately a fairly regular occurrence, and as usual, the staff has been absolutely wonderful. Although an A&E visit is never a quick thing, everyone is working so hard and still remains friendly and helpful. On this occasion one of the Health Care Assistants was especially great and was so good with my little one. As so far we have always had such good experiences in the paediatric A&E , I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff, you are just wonderful.

  6. Review titled Excellent

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ian Meldrum - Posted on 23 January 2023

Everyone was very kind and helpful - porters, nurses, physios, doctors etc. I had a fall at home quite late at night on a Sunday. The ambulance paramedics were very helpful and advised going to the Royal Surrey. I was soon transferred to Ewhurst Ward and had an operation for a fracture below a hip joint that had been replaced 13 years ago. Even the food was good. I couldn't have asked for more. On leaving a nurse gave me a get well card.

  7. Review titled wonderful care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jennifer Claire Stansbury - Posted on 01 February 2023

The paramedics arrived in 20 mins and said hospital it was. I arrived at A and E and was on a stretcher and seen very quickly. I had severe gastroenteritis and was admitted to the Guildford isolation ward. Then for 4 days was on an intravenous drip. The care of all the staff from the tea lady to the consultants was quite wonderful. Always a smile on their faces and looked after my every need. Their kindness and caring was proof that their life is a vocation and they deserve all praise they receive. I will always think of that time with huge thanks and appreciation. I have no criticism of my time spent at the Royal Surrey.

  8. Review titled Treated as an individual

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by B A Singleton - Posted on 20 January 2023

I was brought in by ambulance just after 7.30 on Jan 5th. Helpful ambulance men, no wait for access to hospital. Then in emergency dept for 20 hours plus (with x-ray) before gaining access to a ward (Hindhead). Even in Emergency under pressure, all contact felt individual, as on the ward. I’m sad I am not allowed to thank individual staff by name in return, but overall I was impressed by the understanding at all levels, even a sense of humour surviving often in difficult circumstances. Also grateful for multiple checks before release four days later. So, very best wishes to all, and I hope 2023 becomes more positive and less stressful for all. Thank you. B Singleton

  9. Review titled Insomnia Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by George James - Posted on 13 January 2023

After struggling with my sleep for many years, this service gave me a better understanding of what i needed to do to improve my sleep quality and reducing the time to falling asleep. Having completed the programme last week it is now down to myself to apply the required discipline in order to stay consistent with the methods that have been practised. I'm now feeling positive about the future and the benefits of having a better sleeping pattern in everyday life.
