Your Review: My father passed away on 9th February in intensive care. The care, compassion and communication Dad, myself and my family received by the team but particularly by the nurses was above and beyond. They were outstanding and epitomised everything that the nursing profession is. They put our needs first at every step. As a nurse myself I shall be forever grateful for their kindness and support and thank them from the bottom of my heart. I really hope that they are recognised for the work they do and that the team understand how important their end of life care is and the difference it makes to families and patients.

  3. Review titled Fantastic Experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Martin Mcleod - Posted on 02 March 2023

I was admitted to the Royal Surrey Frensham Ward after Surgery on the 22nd Feb 2023. This was the first time I had been admitted to Hospital so I was nervous. Frensham Ward Staff 1. The level of bedside care provided by the Nurses and Healthcare Assistants during my stay was excellent. At all times they were polite and understanding whilst, taking my Obs, administering Medications, updating my feed through the Jej Tube (including training) and answering my day to day needs. The staff were a credit to the Royal Surrey and to the Nhs itself, never complaining and getting on with their day to day work in a professional manner. Surgery and Oesophago/Upper Gastric team 2. During my stay I was visited daily by Clinical Nurse Specialists, Junior Doctors, Doctors, Surgeons, Registrars etc. All of whom were polite and to the point when answering my concerns. The team always treated me not only as a Patient but also as a Human Being understanding my emotions and other concerns outside of my condition. The level of care provided to me was second to none. Physio, Trauma and Ortho Team 3. Although not on their Radar, during my stay I had a secondary complaint regarding my Foot. The Physiotherapist on duty that day went out of his way to ensure that my complaint was addressed, this resulted in visits by both the Trauma and Ortho Team including Ortho Surgeons to diagnose my condition and provide not only further advice but also equipment that would help my condition on discharge. As the Royal Surrey is not in my locality, I opted to be treat locally once discharged, however the offer to help from the Royal Surrey going forward was greatly appreciated. Dieticians 4. My condition entails that I continue providing myself with nutrition from home. The Dieticians not only provided me with advice whilst an inpatient, but have also made efforts since to ensure that I have everything I need at home. Overall I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff of the Royal Surrey who made my experience a much more pleasant one during my stay, and I know that with the excellent level of care provided to me, I will be in good hands going forward. Thank You

This course of sleep therapy was recommended by a friend, and having done it, I would recommend it without hestitation to others. It has certainly helped me a great deal with the chronic insomnia I was suffering from. The staff member I was assigned to was excellent.

  7. Review titled Positive caring experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Amy - Posted on 06 February 2023

We visited the pead’s A&E department following a 111 call which lead to an ambulance, which lead to a check up in a&e. The ambulance crew and the nurse and doctor in a&e where Brilliant. The care and attention from start to finish was amazing. They supported my daughter brilliantly, listened and asked advice from me about how to support her. They also checked in with me regularly which is great. Being alone in that situation with a young child is hard. Even harder since no second adult allowed. They provided her with care and attention, appropriate medical support, and for filled any promises such as a stick for a procedure or a present at the end. They were calm and appropriate. Despite emergencies, and obvious problems and illnesses, they were calm and helpful and attentive to everyone. They weren’t too busy but they where busy enough. Everyone knows the NHS is struggling and these people aren’t paid appropriately however they are still providing amazing care and medical responses with the utmost care and respect for their patients, families and themselves.

Would like to say how happy I am with the care provided even with them being understaffed a lot of the time. My mother in law has been in for a few weeks now and the nurses have all been very helpful.

  9. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sheelagh Eileen Vacher - Posted on 14 January 2023

Following a fall I could not fault the response, care and attention I received from 111 online to the treatment in the emergency department. All the staff were very thorough in there investigations and I left the department feeling reassured that everything had been done that was needed. The whole department operated in a very professional manner, waiting times for X-Ray and scan was minimal and despite being busy, staff were cheerful and kind contributing to a very good atmosphere throughout.

  10. Review titled A&E and ICU Department

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Joanne Rawlinson - Posted on 21 January 2023

Just wanted to thank the staff in A&E and ICU and, also the ambulance team, for looking after my mum so amazingly after she was brought in following having seizure. The care you showed her was outstanding and made us all feel at ease. You answered all our questions in a language we would understand. Now hoping that as she is now in a ward she will continue to improve. Can't thank you enough though for the care already given.
