    My pre treatment and Selective Laser trabeculoplasty: I was asked my date of birth and address. Given 3 different eye drops. The nurse was very friendly and answered any questions I had. The next professional had a friendly chat first then asked me if I had any questions about the treatment and put me at my ease. The treatment by laser was pain free and only took minutes on each eye. A follow up eye drop was given 1/2 hour later as well as the one given once more before treatment. A third professional gave me more eye drops to check if the pressures had been affected adversely by the procedure. A prescription was given for anti inflammatory by the second professional. Eye drops which was filled by the hospital pharmacy. All in all I felt cared for and about.

    Excellent service from the eye tests to the guy who arranged for me to go to Treliske for an operation on my eye. All staff very skilful in their work and pleasant. 10/10 in all aspects.

    I feel I have had abysmal care from this service in the last 3 years. I have spoken to the consultant twice in 3 years. It has taken up to 5 months to receive a letter where someone has completed a virtual review and instigated a change in medication. I have now been given too high a dose of medication and now experiencing symptoms of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. This is making me feel incredibly unwell, where I have had to take time off work I can’t afford. The endocrine nurse is off sick and it seems there is no one willing to help. I have to wait until they return which is an unknown time period. A 5 minute telephone call from someone else i.e. the consultant apparently is not possible. I’m now going to be waiting another long period of time

I am sorry to see that you have had a lack of communication over the last 3 years and that the change in your medication has resulted in you having symptoms that are making you feel so unwell. It also saddens me to see that for feel no one is willing to help whilst the Endocrine nurse is off sick.   4. Review titled A caring attitude and expertise.

    I was on holiday and had reason to call the ambulance who took me straight to the hospital. From the moment at which the ambulance arrived and I was sent home after 4 nights I could not praise and thank all the staff whom I came into contact with enough. Everyone one of them were brilliant with the right kind of caring attitude and expertise. So a huge thank you to all the staff who cared for me.

    Was taken to A&E yesterday following a head injury. It was busy but the medical staff were first rate and I can't thank you enough. When really needed the NHS are the absolute model of care and attention - thank you

    Have been having eye injections for past 8 months, quite scary for me but from the first time I had it done to my appointment today the two nurses who performed the procedure have made it painless and totally put me at ease every time. I always come away wondering why I was nervous in the first place. Lovely ladies, both stars! Thank you

    We visited on the 11/7 in the early hours of the morning with my little boy whilst on holiday to Cornwall and the staff were exceptional. We were in and out in 90 minutes with all of the essential treatment. We were given a good description of my child’s illness and aftercare. The staff also gave my little boy a card from the staff for his birthday and a small token to take away. It’s the little things that make you smile when you are worried as a parent for your child that can brighten the your day. Exceptional staff and service. Thankyou to everybody that was working the night shift this day.

    Wanted a side room non available when taken to the heart department as an emergency. The ward was extremely noisy with older ladies chatting away obviously soon to be released. Why couldn’t the young nurses have enough common sense to have a quiet word with the ‘shouters’ to please keep it down especially with very ill patients being brought in?

    My overall experience from the time I walked in was amazing, staff were very attentive at all times. As I am a diabetic they kept a check on me regularly. Couldn't have had any better care. Nothing could have been better.
