  1. Review titled Great Care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Jo Tokelove - Posted on 30 October 2022

I was treated on the day unit on the second floor for a hysterectomy. Every member of staff I encountered had a smile on their face and could not have been more caring. My consultant came to see me before and after my operation and I was reassured on both visits. Well done to all.

  2. Review titled Brilliant service, cannot fault.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by JOHN EDMONDS - Posted on 27 October 2022

I cannot fault the service that was given to me from the doctors, nurses, right down to volunteers supplying the teas and sandwiches when I was in Chemotherapy. But why do we have to walk through smoke and cigarette ends from patients and visitors. The signs are big enough to read,so why are patients in gowns and attached to drips sitting outside in all conditions. They then drag this back into the ward, sometimes wet and with all the smell of smoke on them and some poor nurse has to put up with this. Where is security?People who have accompanied me find it totally disgusting. Time someone grasped the situation and did something about it,people are watching.

  6. Review titled Post Menopausal Bleed Clinic - Ultrasound

by Dotty Ava - Posted on 20 September 2022

Post Menopausal Bleed Clinic - I was so impressed by my whole experience today. I had an ultrasound and a hysteroscopy. There was plenty of inexpensive parking and no waiting time at all for my appointment. The waiting areas were quiet and everyone wore masks so I felt very safe. All the practitioners and receptionists were excellent! They explained everything clearly and were happy to answer all of my many questions. They were warm and friendly and made me feel really at ease. They really were a lovely team. Thank you so much everyone for all your help and support today.

  7. Review titled Long waiting times

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been here for 13 hours now, got injured at work falling with one of my legs through scaffolding and dropping tiles on my head while falling. Haven’t heard nothing from them for I don’t know how many hours. They gave me painkillers at first but after that not a single soul checked up on me or told me anything

  8. Review titled Staff were so friendly and accommodating

    by Foxy 65! - Posted on 21 September 2022

From entering the hospital for a scan then going to 1B staff were so friendly and accommodating. 1B staff were amazing and made me feel at ease. They tried to take my mind off the procedure by chatting about all sorts which certainly did the trick. 10/10 service. Thank you ladies, you were so thoughtful caring and everything was very dignified.

  9. Review titled Brilliant treatment

by Tina mc - Posted on 23 September 2022

I was referred to Pilgrim Hospital, Women’s Health Ward - ladies' problem, excessive bleeding. The way I've been treated has been amazing, the staff here look after you so well, there’s nothing you could moan about. I was kept in and monitored through the night, and the next day I was told what was planned for the day and the tests that needed doing. I had an abdominal scan, camera could not be done due to blood loss. I had a biopsy, and Mirena coil fitted and stayed an extra night. The care here I can not fault, the stories I've been told about the coil and it being fitted was nothing like the real thing. I never felt a thing! Hospitals get bad press, but I can not fault this hospital and the care it gives. I’m truly thankful.
