Review titled The care after surgery was brilliant

I have been having chemo for 9 months and the nurses and staff are always so cheerful and kind. I have also had my stomach removed and the care after was brilliant. I have had lots of appointments in different hospitals and can't fault any of them.

Had to go, as I'm a lady of a certain age - thought I was going through the change, only to start having periods again. Went to see a lovely lady ( sorry can't remember her name ), anyway she was very reassuring even when she had to do a procedure. She talked me through the whole experience, even the 2 other ladies were lovely, very caring and funny, which put us all at ease. I can not fault them at all. Thank you.

I was so nervous and uncomfortable not knowing what to expect before my visit but the nurse and support staff put me so at ease I had the procedure which wasn't pleasant but they were lovely and helped me through it

I didn't actually see the Doctor who had promised to see me during my phone appointment. They had said that should they not be able to see me they would reschedule the appointment. This didn't happen, I was very disappointed especially as the examination was very uncomfortable. It also left me very uncomfortable and passing blood spots for several days, I am not due any follow-up or further appointment with anyone. NB I'm an elderly lady. Yet again, despite their reassurances during my phone appointment; the appointment I received was unsatisfactory, the whole reason they promised to be at my appointment.

I was taken into A&E at pilgrim hospital with really bad stomach pain, while I don't want to discuss my experience with A&E when I arrived at the woman's ward at Pilgrim they were warm welcoming and got me down to surgery within half a hour, they listened to my needs and respected me, the surgeon I had was amazing and made sure I understood what was going to happen and all the nurses on the ward I can't speak more highly about them they were amazing with every aspect of my care, I am so greatful for the care I receive.
