I had a cataract operation at eye clinic Lister Hospital, the whole treatment was first class, the consultant is skilled and experienced the staff were also professional and friendly. I am so grateful for the work they do. Thank you.

I was admitted to Lister Hospital on 13.11.23 for an operation to remove one of my parathyroid glands. I was warmly welcomed into the admissions department. I was checked in by a doctor who explained the procedure to me fully. I was nervous and the ladies in the anaesthetics room put me at ease. I came round in the recovery room and was given a wonderful cup of tea and some biscuits. An overnight stay was required and the staff on Ward 5 were all very helpful. I was discharged the next day after assessment by a member of the team and everything was done very efficiently. Sincere thanks for everybody concerned.

I was admitted for 5 days to have surgery on my hand following an infected dog bite. From the surgeons to the nurses to the catering staff to the porters (and anyone else I've forgotten) I could not have asked for better care. I also received excellent follow up care from the team at the hand therapy clinic. Thank you all!

I had a colopscopy under sedation and from the volunteer at the hospital entrance who was so kind and took me to where I needed to book in for my procedure, to all of the staff and the wonderful consultant I had I am truly delighted with how kind and understanding they all were. Truly wonderful staff,all professionals and truly wonderful treatment from everyone. Thank you to all the staff, and nurses and my consultant for helping me feel better again and for their kindness and compassion to me on the day. Thank you so much everyone at lister for all your help.

My elderly father was admitted from his care home in the early hours of the morning. We are so grateful for the care he and our family received during his stay in A&E, AMU yellow and the elderly care ward where he passed away. He was treated with dignity throughout and we were kept informed of his condition and the plan for his care. Our views were respected at all times. We were impressed by the whole team including switchboard, student nurses, nurses, junior doctors and consultants. The care we received as a family has given us great comfort at a very difficult time.

Although extremely painful the procedure was fully explained beforehand by the surgeon. The nurses were extremely kind and helpful prior to the procedure. Admin staff were also efficient and courteous.

The welcome, pre-registrar checks and assistance was very good. This was followed by a very helpful, informative and clear conversation with the registrar who answered all questions and agreed an ongoing proactive plan.

My 90 Yr old mother was admitted to hospital for the 19th time from January 2022 to Nov 2023 having falls and respiratory infections they still haven't sorted out why she is still getting repeated chest infections and I had to fight to get rehab after her knee replacement.

I am in remission for Lymphoma Hodgkinson. I had a telephone consultation this afternoon which left me completely stressed and full of anxiety. The person ringing me did not give a name who he was nor did he try to allay my fears. I had to explain why I wanted to discuss my blood works, which he found annoying and wanted to get me off the phone. I have a medical background (Bio Medical Science and could speak with some knowledge. Instead I as left feeling absolutely confused. Please could you arrange for someone to ring me back, preferably someone who understands my situation?
