  1. Review titled Very impressed

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jacqueline - Posted on 18 October 2023

I was a patient at the Treatment Centre on Monday having an injection into my shoulder for a torn rotator cuff injury. I was very impressed with the care given by the whole team throughout my stay for the morning. It was a great example of good team work, compassion and care and I would like to thank them for such a positive experience.

  2. Review titled Amazing Staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had a scan with a lovely lady who was completely understanding of my anxiety after a previous miscarriage, she was kind and reassuring. I honestly believe I couldn't have had someone better. I also had an amazing lady take my bloods, I have an extreme needle phobia and she was very understanding, helped distract me and is clearly very skilled at what she does as it was the quickest and least painful blood test I've ever had done. All staff on the maternity ward go above and beyond.

  3. Review titled Frustrated

Rated 3 stars out of 5

After spending 90 minutes on a phone call waiting to be connected to Outpatients, I enventually got to No.1 in the queue it came up with a message, please enter your code. The only code I could think of was my hospital number so started putting that in but after the 2nd digit, it said You have been logged out and ended the call. I do not have any other code on my correspondence. Really frustrated.

  4. Review titled Poor cancer pathway , standards not met

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 October 2023

Despite being advised on having advanced prostate cancer and being put on a 2 week pathway by the Lister teams at start of September , after a month , we still not even have a date for an MRI , which is now holding up a biopsy and bone scan also outstanding .So cannot see the cancer specialist or start any treatment until all these are done . No communication from anyone involved either . This will impact on outcomes. No thought of the patient or the family . Asked to go to a local hospital for ease and speed , but this was declined .

  5. Review titled Don't feel cared for- no common sense

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 October 2023

CKD stage 4. Only phone calls which are rushed. Want to be tested for infection, which should be routine for kidney patients. Letters come without blood test forms or pee tubes so I have to chase up and means double the postage/admin etc. Is there no common sense? No diet advice, just limited info leaflets and that's it. No help with worries or concerns. Been under the clinic for years but as people have moved on/retired, the experience has suffered. Just wish I could feel they give a hoot.

  6. Review titled Amazing Care and communication

Rated 4 stars out of 5

My son broke his wrist on 11/10/23. From the min we were booked into paediatric a/e, he received really great treatment and care, from the receptionist, to the nurses and the orthopaedic doctors that manipulated his wrist back into place, also the porters and radiology staff.

  7. Review titled Great Experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Stephen Mellersh - Posted on 05 September 2023

In the last couple of weeks, I have had a blood test (especially for PSA among other things), and 2 scans, all efficiently & pleasantly carried out. Today I saw the consultant, and again the appointment was prompt, courteous & efficient. Thank-you.

  8. Review titled Xray department lacking in fundamental communication skills

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 September 2023

I fell over last night and waited a long time in A+e to be seen. The staff were kind to me even though they are very busy. When I went to have xray I was shocked because your radiology staff used limited English to check who I was and the rest of the visit they all spoke in there native tongue. I found it intimidating as I didn't know what they were talking about andI only speak English. This should be challenged because I didn't feel part of anything and I didnt feel respected. I was totally ignored when staff talking over me in a different language.

  10. Review titled Still laying in a corridor with suspected broken back

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 September 2023

Sent directly to an and e with suspected broken back with writing paper work from dr. Advised to lay flat on arrival. Nurses said ‘it happens sometimes people with back fractures have to sit and wait’ this was 11 hrs ago. Now being told could be another 10.5 hours. Refused a blanket when finally given a bed several times. I know it’s understaffed everywhere but with a suspected back fracture and no feeling in leg I would have hoped to be taken more seriously and allowed to lay and given pain relief that was promised hours before. Would not return to this hospital under any circumstance. Advised nurses of loss of feeling in leg and freezing cold legs but boiling hot torso. Told to wait. That was at 10pm last night. Writing this at 8am and still waiting
