  2. Review titled I was given full details throughout

    by filingbc53 - Posted on 24 October 2022

The hospital clearly explained why I had a recall regarding my mammogram and what they needed to do to further investigate via an ultrasound and second mammogram. I was given full details throughout the procedure and they checked my level of understanding. Throughout they made me feel comfortable and treated me with professionalism and kindness

  3. Review titled Cancer scare

    by encryptiondf77 - Posted on 10 November 2022

I went to the doctors first as had found a lump in my neck also very bad chesty cough which doesn't seem to vanish at all. Had covid and can't shake off fatigue or flu feeling. Sent for a X-ray whist I had Covid so changed the appointment for 10 days later . Told I may go to CT scan as well . Had both on a Friday . Had results from doctors then got phone call to say needed PET scan. Had and week later results. I've got red dots and two areas not active . So having antibiotics and inhaler and another scan to see if infection or area of red dots changes also my lungs . If no change then will check further details for cancer and long covid . My whole experience has being just over 6 weeks long . But only a calendar mth due to covid which I had to recover from . Can't fault the service or care I received.

  4. Review titled TIA appointment follow up

    by ophiuchusbp45 - Posted on 02 November 2022

I had a telephone appointment with a doctor following a suspected TIA. A previous consultant confirmed I had experienced a TIA and provided medication accordingly. This doctor seemed convinced I had a migraine (despite me not having migraines for 10 years). They didn’t want to explain further - just confident I’d had a migraine. It was a confusing appointment where I didn’t really feel they were listening when I explained I didn’t have migraines anymore. I appreciate and understand how busy people are - but it didn’t feel like they had read my notes properly. This might have been because the appointment was a hour late?

  5. Review titled Outstanding treatment at Breast Clinic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Terri Kiddy - Posted on 21 October 2022

Thank you and congratulations to all concerned. My anxiety was acknowledged and all staff responded effectively and empathically; I was treated with the utmost respect and my dignity was prioritised throughout my attendance. The environment was tranquil and welcoming, with the garden a beautiful feature. I highly commend this department for its attention to patient care.

  7. Review titled Rushed neurology consultation

    by Cygnet93 - Posted on 02 November 2022

The Neurologist Consultant in Outpatients did not appear to have read my medical notes before hand. They seemed more interested in the patient after me. Not letting me answer the first question before moving on to the second question. Not taking into consideration any of the ECG results from A&E. Rushing the appointment because it was only a 15 minute slot. Didn't appear to know what medication they had put me on. The resistance test left a lot to be desired (I think my dog probably has more resistance in his jaw) so a pointless exercise. Asking random questions that would have been on my 29 year old medical file. My mum asked if I needed to be seen again for a follow up appointment. The response was if I wanted to be seen again, before passing the buck on to cardiologist even before receiving my EEG results! Because it might be something up with my heart , bearing in mind I have had many ECG tests. It seems another pointless exercise and a waste of time (if they are unwilling to take note of them), then requesting a blood test to measure my lametrigne levels after being on them for 2 weeks, only to turn around and say that those results wouldn't have made a difference.

  8. Review titled Rubbish

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 October 2022

Waited 3 hours and not even triaged in that time and no kids waiting area offered or shown so my child was in tears wanting to leave due to what she was seeing and hearing never mind the tears for her pain nothing to occupy the kids no time showing on waiting times and no offer of any movement on the wait as people who came in after us left before us. Breeding ground for spreading anything contagious as no seats available and kids sitting on adults laps. Constant beeping of machines frightening the kids too was told to come here by the GP instead of making an apt as I was back and forth between gp and orthopaedics not wanting or being able to action an X-ray

Rated 4 stars out of 5

My 97 mother had to attend A & E the staff were unbelievable kind... but so over worked it was truly eye opening... she was on a trolley in a corridor for most of time not ideal... but they did the very best they could .. despite being rushed of their feet.. on some occasions going with out breaks.. they truly deserve so much more thank you
