I had the colonoscopy first and came back a few weeks later for the sigmoidoscopy. Both treatments went smoothly and all of the staff were extremely caring and reassuring. I was given 5 star treatment from the moment I walked in until I left, after the coffee and biscuits! I cannot praise the NHS staff enough for their consideration and dedication

Today I had a colposcopy appointment. I was apprehensive but the staff in the unit were exceptional. They were reassuring and professional and most of all understood how I may be feeling. The nurse took time to explain the procedure to me and the team made sure I was comfortable and the procedure was carried out with dignity and respect. Every effort was made to make me feel comfortable and cared for.

I tried to contact this department to rearrange an appointment was given a direct line but all I got after it rang out for ages was Mailbox Full with no other alternative No wonder there are so many wasted appointments for no shows

I went to the doctors as I passed blood when I had a wee. Had an ultrasound 8 days later. Other tests, pre-op etc. Had the operation 28 days after first going to the doctors. I cannot thank the NHS enough - that was quick and the service from everyone was the best you could ever hope for. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart Love you all. I had the operation at Grantham. What a team they've got there, great at their job and they have a good laugh with you.

Why is it that the neurology phone message says not answered between 9am and 10pm Monday to Friday but continues to say it continually outside those hours?

I asked rheumatoid dept to send blood test forms I spoke to several people including the specialist secretary ,nothing,now they are stopping my medication.well done Lincoln now I will be bed ridden.instead of sending blood test uniformity they ask me to spend hours on the phone and be unsuccessful after they said they would send them.incompetent or just lazy.

I feel broken due to being told that my operation couldn't go ahead because my disease had come back and had a narrowing in my intestines. 3 years waiting for parastomal hernia to be fixed. After emergency ileocolostomy it turned out I'm clear. However I must say I've always been looked after. Sadly I'm waiting for different op in another hospital.

I had 2 teeth out and unfortunately I got a dangerous infection. My husband got me to Lincoln Hospital, which treated me amazingly. After having x-rays, my throat was closing up. They red lighted me to Nottingham Hospital. When I arrived in Nottingham they had Doctors and Surgeons waiting for me and they quickly put me to sleep and operated on me straight away. I was in ICU for 3 days and then I was put on a ward for a further 4 days. The treatment I received from both hospitals was outstanding, from the Doctors, surgeon and most of all the Nurses. I was treated by both Hospitals - Lincoln and Nottingham - with so much care. I knew they had saved my life because I could of died if they hadn’t of dealt with me so quickly. I can’t thank them enough for their support and care I received from Lincoln and Nottingham Hospitals.

Review titled My overall experience of treatment has been first class

I initially came for a pre-op, which was very efficient with polite and helpful staff. I was then admitted for brachytherapy. From the moment I walked in the hospital to the moment I was discharged, I was treated with compassion and care. When I saw the doctors involved for my procedure everything was explained clearly. I was put under anaesthetic then woke up in recovery and then moved onto surgical admissions ward. The staff were wonderful and friendly. The food was surprisingly good with a good choice and the service was very good. This was my first ever night in hospital and I’m 55 years old. The morning after the procedure I had breakfast then the nurse removed the catheter which wasn’t pleasant but had to be done. After lunch I had a shower and done my urine so I was free to be discharged. My overall experience of treatment within the NHS and with Lincoln Hospital has been first class. Many thanks to all that cared for me during my stay.
