  3. Review titled Awful Customer Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Charles Butterworth - Posted on 10 May 2024

I turned up for a gynaecology appointment which should have gone ahead at 10am. Turning up 15 minutes early, I expected to be out of the appointment by 11am. After waiting 90 mins, I was told I was late when I stated to the reception that I’d waited over an hour and a half already (other people turned up and were seen to after 5mins). It’s now been over 2 hours and I’ve been told to sit and wait numerous times. I didn’t realise a hospital appointment meant taking a full day out from work these days. Rude staff and poor communication. Do better.

Dear Charles, I think there was a lack of communication between reception and the nursing team. You had not been booked in on PCS so unfortunately the nursing team were not aware of you attending your appointment. We apologise for the delay. Kind regards, Michaela Onolfo Gynaecology Outpatient Manager

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Amy - Posted on 04 May 2024

My son is 19 and had a scheduled operation, the staff in the recovery were amazing and the aftercare was really good, offering toast drinks constantly and were very friendly and professional and caring, it was greatly appreciated.

  5. Review titled Answer the phone please.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 April 2024

Just a quick comment. Ward 15 refused to answer the phone numerous times in one day, even after the operator tried for me, so I was unable to get any update on my Mum who was a patient. I find this upsetting and inefficient.

Dear relative, We would like to apologise that the phone upon ward 15 was not answered in a timely manner, the staff do endeavour to answer the telephone as promptly as possible. Due to the high volume of calls received this unfortunately did not happen. Kind regards, Kate Williams DMEC Matron

I had to visit A&E yesterday morning. From the ambulance men to every member of staff who helped me they were professional, calm and very kind. I just wanted to say thank you, they made a scary experience not so daunting.

  9. Review titled Outstanding

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Paul Hulme - Posted on 22 April 2024

I have been visiting Leighton Hospital for what for me, was a major operation (Gall bladder removal) for several months. I received outstanding attention from all the doctors, nurses, anaesthetists and all the other NHS staff who cared for me, and they really did care. They were not just going through the motions and doing a job which they were paid to do, because NHS staff are paid at a shamefully low level, they are not doing it for the money. I am really impressed by the way I was treated. Thank you Leighton Hospital.
