  3. Review titled Brilliant and caring service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have been attending the gynaecology service at KMH for over a year, resulting in my operation yesterday. I want to say I have had a brilliant experience from beginning to end. My consultant was amazing and all the staff I have encountered were kind and helpful. My experience at KMH has been fantastic.

  4. Review titled Great experience.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Despite the tremendous pressure the minor injury department was under all the staff were extremely pleasant. The practitioner who treated me could not have been better, both understanding and reassuring. Very professional and efficient.

Return visit with son after had foot injury 5 days ago and still in pain to find that he should have been told to return in 7/10 for another xray due to abnormalities on first xray but he was never given this information on first visit.

  6. Review titled Fabulous staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Amy - Posted on 07 May 2024

From arrival to discharge everyone provided a brilliant service. The nurse in primary care was very thorough, comforting and explained everything. The staff in the emergency department took the time to talk about everything and even small talk to prevent anxiety building. The only negative is that due to the the amount of intake the department had, many of us were seen just sat in chairs squashed together due to lack of space and beds. This is not a reflection on the staff themselves who were brilliant and worked non stop to provide the best care they could. Thank you to the team working overnight.

  7. Review titled Marvellous people!!!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

From my outpatients appointment with my surgeon, To my eventual surgery and stay in hospital I have been beyond impressed with my car. My surgeon made me feel as though I was paying privately, she was so attentive and so caring! The same applied to all of the nursing stuff in the day Surgery unit, to the ancillary, care and nursing staff on Ward 31. I was absolutely petrified about having this surgery, but I have been treated like royalty, thank you so much Kingsmill Hospital!! You are all the best!!!!

  8. Review titled Amazing midwives

by Georgia - Posted on 10 April 2024

The one worry I have is that my symptoms are me being dramatic. I have never felt back pain like I had early hours in the morning and was crying in agony. I knew there was a high chance I was just not coping with my pain. But not once did I ever get made to feel like that. This is my second time at maternity triage and the midwives are something else. You hear all these stories of mean midwives and patronising patients. But the midwives in Kings mill are a blessing to that hospital, nothing but respect and empathy for the patients. Always made to feel like I've been heard and understood. Truly makes me emotional knowing I'll give birth with such an amazing team :)

  9. Review titled Awful

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 April 2024

Staff were rude, ignored patients, no updates, resus were even worse, on their phones most of the night, never once was I offered a drink despite telling them I'd not drank for 48 hrs or eaten, no fluids were given. I had to ask for pain killers! Waited from 7pm to 3am before admitted to resus after telling someone im struggling to breathe now, and them saying okay you'll still have to wait... honestly kings mill hospital is going so downhill. I've now been transferred to queens which still took around 8 hrs. Within 2 hrs of me being here I've had an xray and I'm on a ward. Sort it out kings mill, you're better than this. Talk to your staff about showing each other memes and jokes and laughing at patients or talking about them openly.

  10. Review titled Outstanding all round experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alison Kirk - Posted on 23 April 2024

From start to finish the entire experience within the physiotherapy department has been outstanding. The admin team are welcoming warm and friendly. The area is clean and runs like clockwork. Appointment times are spot on and no waiting around. The physio has been outstanding. He is gentle, caring and a good listener. He is informative and positive in every way. He has all the qualities of an outstanding teacher as well as physiotherapist. Thank you Sherwood Forest Hospital Trust!
