Arrived on the evening of 13/7/24 with a nasty head wound. The considerate Egyptian doctor who did my stitches made an excellent job of it. the wound is now barely visible. Thanks for skillful treatment!

Review titled Great care given
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Trudy Trafford - Posted on 03 July 2024
My Mum was on ward 12 and received great care from the nurses, kitchen ladies, cleaners and doctors, who are clearly working under a lot of pressure. The care Mum received after having a fall and breaking her hip, considering how stretched the NHS is, has been great, from everyone from the paramedics to the receptionists. Medication made her hallucinate and she called me at midnight terrified and in a real state. I rang the hospital and the receptionist was amazing and kept trying the ward until she got through to make sure I could let them know how upset Mum was. They allowed my Dad to go and calm her down and looked after him as well. It’s obvious that the NHS is broken but the people who work within the NHS deserve a medal, they are doing their best against all the odds and your efforts are very much appreciated. Thank you.

Review titled I have been heard and cared for.

I have been through difficult times twice, but the EPU has been very understanding and caring for my phisical wellbeing and mental health. I have recieved a letter after the second loss which I am grateful for because I know nurses and doctors are overworked and underpaid. The letter is a nice gesture, thank you for all hours and effort that was put into care.

My son fractured his arm, we came to emergency care and were seen so quickly. Everyone was so helpful and so good with my 5 year old. We came back the following day for a further xray and again, the staff were amazing! All follow up fracture clinic appointments were also so well run and all staff were brilliant with my son! I haven’t experienced such a speedy, thorough, well run service! Thank you all for your patience and service

Review titled Thank you for saving my life
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ashley James Henshaw - Posted on 03 August 2024
I want to say, "to the ambulance drivers who accurately realised the severity of my illness; the healthcare and nursing staff who monitored treated and cared for me; the doctors/specialists and there life saving knowledge and decisions; to the cleaners and tea ladies who kept me up beat even through the most difficult of times. Thank you for saving my life!" Those who work for the NHS in Kingsmill Hospital sacrifice a great deal of time, energy, putting themselves on the front line. They deserve the greatest respect and support from us all. We should never take for granted our NHS. I saw alot of what goes on in the wards and sometimes shocked with how they are treated by the general public yet they still maintain there professionalism and character. We never want to lose those who are the building blocks of this amazing organisation.

I was admitted to Kings Mill after having a major heart attack at the age of 49!. The team dealt with my heart problem quickly by using a coronary angioplasty, the surgeon was amazing!, the care given by my doctor was just brilliant (love the positivity). The after care by all staff on ward 23 was just phenomenal. My love to all of you, you quite literally saved my life

I had a 17 day stay on ward 14 and the care and support I recived from the wonderful woman who work on that ward was nothing sort of outstanding. They got me through some of the hardest moments I had and truly there words of encouragement and support made my stay so much easier. They listened when I needed someone to talk to and gave a shoulder to cry on at times. Thank you so much to all the staff in ward 14 you should be proud of all that you do
