On 20th September at night I was in A&E and the team were amazing. The triage nurse was patient, polite and understanding. The phlebotomist who done my bloods was so patient, understanding and friendly. She was also chatty to myself and sister which made us feel at ease. The doctor who we saw explained things clearly so I understood what was happening and he put my mind at ease. Was reassuring and helpful. Overall a great experience. Thank you to the team who supported me that night.

I have no idea why GP surgery people push non urgent,non emergency patient to go to A&E . And there the reception staff are feeling proud of waiting time .

Be very careful when the patient you are attending to is a nurse by profession. You don't address the patient by their complaint. I have a name, not "chest pain." You did an ECG without saying a single word to me and just pulled out the leads as if those were not attached to me. You are definitely not for healthcare because you don't obviously have the Cs of nursing.

I’ve been calling the theatre scheduling department for 6 weeks and still no answer I wouldn’t mind but I was given a telephone number to contact the department it doesn’t make sense

Trouble getting through to a person & the department and when explained that I had not heard from them with a date for appointment told that they will contact me and it could be up to a year

Review titled The caring staff

I was admitted to Chestnut ward in June after having being brought back to a normal heart rhythm in A & E. The care and attention I received was above and beyond, the staff were always at hand to help you and talk to you when you were feeling down, and assist you with any problem that you were dealing with and above all they treated an old man like myself with respect which is rare in this day and age. With their happy attitude the rest of the patients became talkative and soon the whole ward was talking to one another and became a happy unit. I cannot single out a person as the whole staff of all shifts were the same and I wish to thank them all an wish them all the best in the future.

My brother recently admitted to ICU all the staff on this ward was the most dedicated and caring to both my brother and our family.

A big thank you to Poplar, Reception and Porterage for their support during an outpatient appointment on 24 July. To Reception and porterage for their prompt response to a request to move me (ambulant oxygen user) from the hospital entrance to Poplar, and to Poplar staff for their patience and care during my appointment. Much appreciated. Thank you.

Spent there 20hours, the doctor almost did key hole surgery based on his examination without doing any scans. When I have requested the scan he said that he is never wrong and I’m putting myself at risk. He didn’t know what to say when scan didn’t confirmed his diagnosis. They kept me waiting 20 hours before I finally got room. Such a mess and disorganisation. They treat patients really badly. No respect at all

I visited the Gynaecology Clinic yesterday morning, 26th June 2023 & met Helen Gray Urogynae Specialist. During a difficult procedure she was so kind & caring, nothing was too much trouble to explain. I leant so much from her about my condition & came away feeling so much happier than when I went in.
