  1. Review titled Early pregnancy

I went in over the period of 3 weeks complaint if bleeding and clotting. They had no plans to check or make sure my baby was ok. I kept getting turn away saying it’s all ok. It’s turned out I went to a different hospital to find out I’ve miscarried. I feel I have been neglected here and it’s made me feel like rubbish not having my child when they could have done somthing or checked me ealrier on.

We were very sorry to learn of your subsequent miscarriage and recognise this must be a very difficult and upsetting time for you, for which we apologise. We were concerned to read that despite attending the hospital with bleeding no checks were made, and should you wish to discuss this matter further with a member of the Patient Experience Team, then please contact 0300 131 5309 or via email on esh-tr.PatientExperience@nhs.net and they can make enquiries on your behalf.

  2. Review titled Fantastic service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Angela Davies - Posted on 14 August 2024

After a fall that left me unable to walk (I’m disabled) I was taken to the Conquest a&e. The experience was excellent from the ambulance people who reassured me kindly while taking me down my stairs to the lady nurse who accessed me who was very sweet and kept me informed with that was going on (she even went to check where I was on my doctors list) My doctor was lovely and even though she did say she would like to keep me in so I could be seen by a physiotherapist she respected my anxiety and checked to make sure I have help if I went home. In total from requesting an ambulance to pick me up to coming home was 7 hours, a&e was really busy (summer holidays) and the staff coped marvellously. I can’t praise the staff enough.

  3. Review titled Great department

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Elaine Thorley - Posted on 03 August 2024

I had my second appointment at this department and was once again very impressed by the service that i received. The HCA that greeted me was very polite and efficient and kept me updated about the very slight time delay of my appointment. The consultant was very efficient and made out a care plan for me to follow with detailed instructions about medication that i needed to take. He also answered my many questions that i had with great patience and i did not feel at all rushed during the consultation. I do not require a follow-up appointment but he told me that if i had any further problems then i could get in touch with his secretary which was very reassuring.

  5. Review titled Great department

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Elaine Thorley - Posted on 01 August 2024

I visited the neurology department for the second time this year and had another fantastic visit. I saw the same consultant and yet again he was absolutely amazing. I have had quite worrying neurological problems for nearly a year and a half now and after extensive tests the consultant has worked out a care plan for my health problems. This has given me some hope at last and he told me that if nothing works for me or if i have any more problems or questions in the future then i can speak to his medical secretary and they will arrange a further appointment for me. All of this is very reassuring and gives me some hope that i can get some relief from my symptoms and gives me hope for the future.

  6. Review titled Excellent care from all involved

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Pam Lyons - Posted on 06 June 2024

I went to fracture clinic at Conquest hospital for review and new plaster for double wrist fractures. From the receptionist, to the consultant, to the X-ray staff and the lady who did the plastering, everyone was super efficient and friendly, made the experience as positive as it could have been. The clinic was very busy, and running a bit late, but I was seen quite quickly, and the staff continuously kept everyone in the waiting room informed. There was a friendly atmosphere with a lot of good humour to distract from the more painful aspects of the procedure. Thanks to all in the department.

  9. Review titled Fantastic treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Richard Hudson - Posted on 18 June 2024

During the evening of 17/6 my 13 year old son came by ambulance to the Conquest following an injury in a cricket match, namely a dislocated patella. When we arrived A & E was incredibly busy and I feared we had a long night ahead of us. The treatment we received was exemplary. Unfortunately I can’t remember the names but our doctor was a Hungarian lady who helped us so much. The staff in the X-ray dept were also brilliant, making my son feel so comfortable. I would also like to especially mention a volunteer female member of staff who was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. She was absolutely fantastic with my son and nothing was too much trouble (truly amazing!! Sorry I can’t remember her name). Thank you so much

I was referred to A and E by my GP today (in the morning of May 24 2024). After a very short wait I saw a helpful nurse and a very helpful and knowledgable doctor. Sadly I didn’t get their names. The service couldn’t have been better.
