Review titled Amazing consultation
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 15 September 2023
Fazakerley is an appalling set of buildings which are badly signposted and in parts very old and dingy. I was seen in the cardiology department and was consulted with by a senior nursing officer. She was so comprehensive and explained all aspects of the heart and it's working to me. She was thorough in her questions and explained the implications of any diagnosis I may get. I was comfortable and totally relaxed by this lady. I feel so sorry for the environment this lady is forced to work in and can't begin to understand how she remains so positive and helpful. I will need to visit again and don't look forward to the environment but relish the thought that the professionals who work there make it worth the visit.

Review titled Wonderful Team

by Marie - Posted on 08 August 2023
My Dad was admitted to Ward 32 on 25/07/2023 and was nursed there until he died on 02/08/2023. My brother and I stayed with him throughout this time. Words cannot express how we feel about the exceptional care he received. He was so comfortable in his final days and treated with such dignity. We also were well supported while spending precious time with our Dad. All members of the team were kind, considerate and caring . Many thanks and gratitude to all

Review titled A waste of my time and a waste of NHS money
by grusyx75 - Posted on 14 August 2023
Rheumatology Appointment Aintree Hospital I found the whole experience with the consultant was awful. They didn't know what medication I was on or dosage, or have my medical history. I felt like I was on trial the entire time and had to justify why I've been put on medication from an original diagnosis I was given many years ago. I didn't understand why I had to have another blood test when the GP had done a full bloods a month prior which were all normal - the consultant didn't have these either. I showed the results via my NHS app, and still had to have bloods again. My impression given from the appointment was they just want me out of the system so it's one less on the books. It was honestly a waste of my time and a complete waste of NHS money. I will never be returning ever again, because what is the point? The support staff and nurses were lovely btw.

Review titled Exceptional Team
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Catherine Carey - Posted on 24 August 2023
I have just returned from the Day Surgery unit, having had my very troublesome gallbladder removed. All I can say is what a 5 star experience. From admission to discharge I was cared for by amazing staff. From the nurses who checked me in, the anaesthetists, who reassured me and made me laugh, the lovely surgeon and the fab ODP. I cannot tell you how relaxed they made me feel but the icing on the already wonderful cake, was the team in recovery. Kind, caring, efficient and all round brilliant. One of the nurses even used her own peppermint teabags to help with the post op wind. Thank you seems inadequate but it comes from the bottom of my heart We need to protect our NHS and the people within it, they do the most amazing jobs under trying conditions. You made a stressful experience plain sailing. Thank You

Friendly, competent team for whom nothing is too much trouble. The ‘Cath Lab’ crew are exemplary in their attitude towards ensuring the patients comfort and this friendliness is extended to the operating theatre surgeon and crew. (Pity about the cheese pastie!)

Review titled No results from Echocardiogram
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 24 November 2023
I have had 2 previous echocardiogram and both myself and GP have had a copy of the report. I had a 3rd one in July and 4 months later neither myself or GP have had the results. Surely if you have a procedure you should be given results. Not good enough to wait for so long and still not have got them

Review titled Bad communications
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anthony - Posted on 18 August 2023
Had a scan on 11/07. My doctor said they will write with an appointment. Two weeks later called my doctor told to wait two more weeks. So a month later I called nephrology only to be told the doctor there has not reported on the scan although they do have the results. They will be chased to communicate with me. Fingers crossed I'm fine and the long delay has not resulted in further determination.

Review titled Wonderful Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Julie - Posted on 02 June 2023
This week I have spent 5 days in Aintree Hospital, from A and E, to SAU and then Ward 15. The care and compassion I received from all nurses and domestic staff was second to none. There is no amount of money in the world that would be enough to truly give the credit that these wonderful people deserve.

by Julie Ryan - Posted on 09 June 2023
I brought my mum for results of a CT scan and the Doctor apologised for lack of communication leading up to the appointment (which was indeed lacking) but once we spoke to the consultant the service was superb. She was very thorough , kind and really made us feel reassured. Just wanted to leave some feedback to say how much this was appreciated
