My appointment was for a blood test but I got more than I bargained for. I was given a flu jab and a shingles jab I didn't expect at the time, so very pleased about that, great service from a very efficient staff.

The nurse was professional and very informed. I was told what I needed to do going forward and shown the support tools available. The receptionist was smiling and showed me what to do

Waited 45 minutes for my last appointment! Timed my babies nap and breakfast around my appointment so it would be as stress free as possible , I had to leave and i need to re book because of how late they was running

Yet again, after waiting weeks for a nurse appointment, (that they dictated), sitting patiently by the phone, it didn't happen. We are consistently reminded of the cost to the NHS of a missed appointment, but they do it frequently. Double standards, as my time is precious too. Blanket excuse/apology finally received after 15hrs. Not good enough. This is not the first time either. Go elsewhere if you have a choice.

I have just had my yearly diabetic review the nurse was so kind and very respectful I would recommend anyone to be at this GP Practice . But like everyone I find it hard to get a GP appt

I have been with vine medical for about 20 years now. Most of the staff from doctors and nurses down to telephonists and receptionists are very friendly and helpful. I have been exasperated that when phone lines open at 8am and you call dead on 8am, you are more than 30 in the queue and by 8.15 there are no appointments left for that day. Not everything is urgent but also not everything can be left 3-4 weeks on routine. 2pm the online form opens and again by 2.10 they are full. Surely this means they need more staff to meet demand

Dear Patient, Thank you for leaving us your review, and for your kind words about our staff. We absolutely would love more staff but unfortunately this is not as simple a solution as we would like. Over the last 10 years, as the demands on the NHS have risen but funding to primary care has remained static in real terms, the recruitment and retention of doctors has become increasingly difficult. The result of this is that doctors have had to carry greater patient list sizes with greater workloads and administrative tasks. We are currently capping the daily workload to a safe limit, which is why the online form does close off when a certain number of requests are received. Please be assured that we are doing everything we can in the background to ensure we can see as many patients as we safely can. If you have an urgent problem that needs to be seen sooner than four weeks, please do contact us by telephone, as we release on-the-day capacity from 08:00 daily. Kind Regards, Vine Medical Group

Takes at least 20 mins to get through on phone - have tried at several times of day. Cannot get appointment with doctor of choice (would like to consult with same doctor twice in a row, when monitoring an ongoing condition). Cannot get appointment within 2 weeks, even if surgery have called me & asked me to contact them, thus involving another long wait on phone. Once arrived at surgery for appt at 1515h, finally saw doctor at 1555, during which time, only 2 other patients were called in ahead of me.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review. We will always try and book patients in with the GP they have seen most recently for continuity of care, but unfortunately this isn't always possible, and we will need to book patients with whoever is available to ensure they are seen. Our waiting time for a routine GP appointment is usually within four weeks unless the problem is very urgent in which case we do maintain some capacity on-the-day. Our reception team, supported by a GP, will triage all appointment requests to ensure an appointment is booked within an appropriate time frame. Kind Regards, Vine Medical Group

I arrived at the Stakes Lodge site an booked in, all very courteous. I took a seat and was called forward by a message on a TV. My appointment was conducted in a most professional manner, we reached an agreement on how to proceed, and I left. All very efficient. Thankyou.

In response to an ‘age review’ appointment, I then had a series of tests, took BP readings and finally an appointment with the practise pharmacist. There was time for discussion and questions and then an explanation of the new medicine I will be taking. There will be a phone call follow up. Not sure how to make contact if there are problems in the intervening four weeks though…
