    I met the practitioner for the 1st time at this appointment. I was going to have a ring fitted for a prolapse. We went through the protocols and then I got ready to be examined. As she was about to examine she said she had 15 years experience. I hadn’t asked for this information and didn’t know what to say. I just said that’s good you’re very experienced. The examination continued and my grade 3 prolapse was reduced to 2. And she didn’t think I needed a ring as it would give me more issues. She also said I just needed to use the oestrogen medication and not the canasten as prescribed by my previous GP the previous week. I left a little muddled and needed time to think. I felt she was quite forceful and was stating what she thought was what I needed. I didn’t write this review until now as I needed time. I have another thrush issue which the person reading my new request to the surgery. The reply I got by stated - what was said in my last appointment- that means I couldn’t get help until I started the whole process again that led to the appointment I am reviewing! 3 appointments later and I’m no better - and still in vaginal discomfort since 23rd June. Today is 15th August. I stated in my last request I wanted to know why at my age I am getting thrush or whatever this is??? I’m not happy and still in discomfort. The surgery needs to do better. Could I have high levels of sugar causing this? This happened to my nan who I cared for in her seventies.

    I had not seen a GP for quite a long time, nor had I ever met this doctor previously. I was extremely pleased with his manner, and how easy he was to speak with and to understand. I found him to be informative and compassionate, and would have no difficulty recommending him to anyone.

    We required 2/3 weekly appointments for our son for dressing changes. We were looked after really well by our nurse. Our son is a teenager with an intimate issue and she has treated him as an individual and with respect.

    Whilst sitting in the waiting room at Forest End surgery I was astonished regarding the way instructions were given to proceed to the treatment room … a persons name is flashed up on a screen which is visible to everyone else in the waiting room - accompanied by a verbal /audible announcement I thought this was dreadful and it felt like a breach of personal information. There must surely be a less public way to notify which room a person is being directed to … for example the code system in use in QAH outpatients where an attendee is allocated a three digit combination of random letters /numbers by the receptionist and your allocated letter /number code is flashed on the screen seems a much more discreet and private system / without any public broadcast of personal details.

    Had a blood test with a nurse to investigate my anaemia. The nurse took blood test and explained what could happen next if the GP needed to take further action. I understood her explanation.

    Professional, polite, positive experience. My medical practitioner was all of the above and more. She made me feel at ease and was very attentive. All my questions were answered properly and promptly.

    I attended a blood test. The receptionist was welcoming and the appointment was on time and the practitioner was professional and friendly. Everyting was explained.

    The nurse that I saw was amazing. A Down to earth Nurse who made me feel very comfortable. She was very caring, and very professional.
