Review titled Terrible service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 January 2023
I’ve been trying to book an appointment at the surgery for 3 days because I’m pregnant and need an appointment with my GP. The only way to book an appointment is via patchs system which opens at 8am and is unavailable/full within 10-15 mins. The receptionist I spoke to today didn’t even ask my reason for calling just that I would need to wait until Monday or call 111. Ridiculous and unreasonable both in response and time frame. I will be looking to register with another GP and certainly wouldn’t recommend this one.

Review titled So difficult to get appointment or repeat prescription
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 December 2022
Although I have experienced excellent treatment in the past I now find it almost impossible to get appointments and have not had an on time repeat prescription in 2 years. I generally order on the nhs app and then make at least 2 visits to the surgery or on site pharmacy before getting a correct prescription filled. My husband seems to be lucky and his are always perfectly filled. Very frustrating. No email address any longer and patches is always closed.

Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback on our service you received from The Pinn Medical Centre. We are sorry that you are finding it difficult to get an appointment to see a doctor at The Pinn. On average we handle over 4000 calls every week at the surgery. Whilst we do understand how frustrating it must be to get access to your GP you may be interested to know that The Pinn provides 1440 appointments per week which is the number recommended by the BMA for a practice its size. In addition, it provides 627 GP Access Centre appointments per week. It is also unfortunate that every week we have an average of 60 patients who do not attend their appointments – these are appointments that could have been used by another patient. We are sorry that you felt our service did not meet with your expectations. Our intention is only to help patients in the most pleasant and efficient way we can. We have reflected on your comments and have shared your thoughts with our management team. We are trying our very best to improve our booking system and apologies for the inconvenience this has caused you. PATCHS is now being kept open for longer for patients to be able to make requests. Review titled Patchs system closes too quickly
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 13 December 2022
The Patchs system is closed for most of the day. Why can’t a request for an appointment be made at any time? It’s them up to the surgery to schedule it according to their resource availability. But not to even allow a request to be made beyond 9am or so is unacceptable. Very poor service process which works for the surgery staff but not for its patients.

Review titled Patches system for requests is completely unacceptable
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 December 2022
Getting on Patches to submit a request is almost impossible - each time over last 2 days, it said it had reached its limit, and would reopen in 1 hour. I finally managed to get on, only to be kicked out again after filling in the first screen, as it had reached its capacity! I used to think Pinn Medical was very busy, but overall great. This is no longer the case. Getting through to them is now almost impossible.

Review titled Awful booking system symptomatic of systematic incompetence
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Simon Palmer - Posted on 31 December 2022
Called at 8.15am on the dot (when their system opens). 30 minutes in a phone queue, before being told to book an appointment on their online system, which was at capacity anyway. In other words, no way to make an appointment. Days later, receive two texts asking me to book an appointment for my father. Follow both website links only to be told that no slots are available, and that I must call the practice to book an appointment. I call the practice, but the lines are closed on weekends.

Review titled Professional and Timely
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Mukesh I - Posted on 19 May 2023
Having moved into London from a different part of world, the impression we had was that access to medical facilities in London might not be as easy. With the experience so far, we stand corrected and that view has changed rightly in spirit of priority i.e. those who need it more deserve first access. But Pinn Medical delivers way beyond that spirit! Entire team at that centre right from reception, nurses, support staff and doctors remain extremely professional, helpful and accommodating while giving the best to their job. It’s great to see their commitment and community service. We hope that their efforts continue to be recognised, rewarded appropriately and in time. To that, this review is one small step in the direction!
