    I used patches to book an appointment for my elderly mother, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get a face to face appointment in a such a short period. Also the doctor requested a blood test which was done at the same time.

    My first time at the Pinn Medical Centre and I could not be more impressed. I was seen on time by an excellent doctor who was very friendly, sympathetic and attentive. The receptionists were friendly and very efficient despite it being really busy and the pharmacy were also very nice and super quick. I was prepared for a very different experience with a long wait but I cannot praise the staff highly enough. A fantastic practice all round - thank you!

    I have been very impressed the last few times I have requested appointments via the Patch's form. I have had prompt responses, quick appointment times and very helpful doctors. This has not been my experience in earlier times so I am hoping things are improving. You still have to get online first thing in the morning to get an appointment and not easy to see the same Dr but otherwise ok.

    I just wanted to share a positive experience of the Pinn today. I used patches first thing regarding a possible ear infection and received an email confirming an appointment for today. I also received a call to make sure I had seen the email. It is often hard and complicated to get appointments so it was nice to have a straightforward experience today.

    I asked to see a doctor but was seen by a nurse. Who was very helpful but I wanted to see a doctor. I do not wish to receive emails and messages about questionaires and patient experience . Its more productive that the surgery spends time on sorting out its problems than analysing customer data and sending out countless messages. A patient can directly complain to the Practice Manager who should reply instead of looking through questionnaire results like this one. A far more fruitful way to spend the budget would be on having another doctor or nurse . Another point : Receptionists are not medically trained so why do they make decisions on the priority of whether a patient sees a doctor or not.

    Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback on our service you received from The Pinn Medical Centre. We are sorry that you are finding it difficult to get an appointment to see a doctor at The Pinn. On average we handle over 4000 calls every week at the surgery. Whilst we do understand how frustrating it must be to get access to your GP you may be interested to know that The Pinn provides 1440 appointments per week which is the number recommended by the BMA for a practice its size. In addition, it provides 627 GP Access Centre appointments per week. It is also unfortunate that every week we have an average of 60 patients who do not attend their appointments – these are appointments that could have been used by another patient. We are sorry that you felt our service did not meet with your expectations. Our intention is only to help patients in the most pleasant and efficient way we can. We have reflected on your comments and have shared your thoughts with our management team.
