    The practice ran quite reasonably on time , the doctor was very helpful, empathetic and considerate to my visit.a very reassuring experience was had ..thank you

    A home visit was set up. A family member of the patient called the GP a few days prior to the appointment and asked to be contacted when the medical nurse was at the house so they could provide additional information, but no one called. The family member called on the day of the home visit and was told, the nurse is on their way, but in order to get information, the family member should send an email for the results and they would receive an answer within 48 hours. It's been over a week and no reply has been sent. Similar issues have occurred with previous communications with this GP office.

    Dear patient Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties arranging a home visit and I appreciate you making us aware of this. Please be assured you can always ask to speak to a senior member of our admin team, who can support you through any issues arranging appointments/visits. Home visits take around 4 times longer than appointments in practice, so it's really important we get these right every time. Please call the surgery and provide more information about this, or email it through to us at grange.admin@nhs.net so we can investigate this incident and understand what occurred, who you spoke to etc. Providing full details, including patient details, will allow us to investigate, but without that we cannot learn from this and improve. Your feedback will be shared with our whole team at the next practice meeting for awareness if you are unable to provide more information to allow a full investigation. Kind regards DS

    A miracle that I actually got to see a doctor, after months of diagnosis over the phone, I requested a heart ultrasound only to be told I'm 'too young' for a heart problem - despite people a decade younger than me collapsing from heart problems. Fobbed off with anxiety just because that's on my record.

    Was late to appointment and still was able to be seen by GP. receptionist and GP very understanding and GP helped solve the problem.

    Got appointment very quickly and was taken very quickly at the surgery and on time. The gentleman on reception was particularly helpful as computer login had failed and he was prompt at checking people in.

    I was scheduled a phone appointment on 17 Jan (18.10) in response to an e-consult from, no call was received. I emailed admin and received an apology and revised appointment on 18 Jan (11.10). Again no call received. Submitted another e-consult form and was called by pharmacist who was very helpful.

    I was asked to attend twice once for the check up and once for bloods This should be carried out in one visit and a call should be made explain g the results

    Dear Kathy Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and feedback about your recent experience. You are absolutely right, we should offer to take blood and review diabetes at the same time, then offer a phone call with results and next steps for managing the condition. I’m sorry that hasn’t happened this time. I can only assume that your appointment was after the blood collection time (12:00pm), but if this was the case I would have hoped you were offered to have a sample taken for you to drop at the hospital.     I have had a few appts lately. Happy with the F2F appts but have had a couple of telephone appts arranged - one took a week before I received a call back and one when I didn’t get a call back but antibiotics delivered by chemist late on a Friday night.

I’m pleased to learn you are overall happy with the service, but I completely understand your feedback about the telephone appointments. These are always difficult to manage, especially when our clinicians are often managing complex face to face presentations in and amongst clinics, which prevents us from providing a time of call back. There are options around using EConsult and online consultation for some health care queries, which can be answered by email or SMS by our clinicians, rather than telephone. This enables directions, advice or assurance to be provided for patients to review at their convenience for some problems. Your review will be shared with our wider team at our next practice meeting.     I called fir an appointment for my daughter because she's had ear ache/blocked for some time now. I was offered an appointment same day and was given antibiotics. The phone was answered quicker than normal too.

We do always try to prioritise children and see them as soon as possible. It’s assuring to learn you got through on the phone quickly - this is something we’ve been working to improve since June 2022 and our average waiting times are less than 3 minutes now.
