    High BP Bloods done. Lifestyle check done BP average checked over a week Relevant drugs prescribed promptly Friendly supportive staff Follow up calls re diabetes and diet. Follow up appointment for blood tests booked promptly. Pharmacy cakled to discuss drugs. Overall excellent service

    Surely, this has to be the “Best GP Practice in Huddersfield”, if ever there was such a title. I have just come off a call with my Dads GP this morning, who has been following up my father for the last 6 months following an unexpected illness, he has been so incredibly supportive to us as have the rest of the practice team. My father has been a lifelong patient of this practice, and it was evident that it was struggling with the previous team of GPs over a few years ago. Since then, it has transformed unrecognisably, with a new team of GPs coming in and overhauling the practice.The Grange GP Surgery now have the nicest team of incredibly professional, kind & caring GPs, Nurses and a wonderfully fresh team of reception staff (they have got rid of the previous “Rottweilers”, and “GP blockers”) . The current team have been wonderfully pleasant, timely and efficient in all of my dealings over my Dad . Keep up the great work and my thanks for the wonderful care you give .

    I e had 5 recurring kidnwy infectiona in as many weeks. Called 111 twice and have emailed the practice sknce Saturday with zero response

    I was concerned about high blood pressure and found I had an irregular heart beat as part of the investigation. The practice involved a cardiologist who will be applying a 24 hour monitor on me in June. I have also reduced my blood pressure after receiving medication from the practice. Very happy with my experience

    Receptionists need to listen better regarding your symptoms as what you may say to them does not always translate. Still difficult to see doctor seems you have to go through different practitioners before you can see one. Also annoying when you’re told you can only deal with one condition per appointment. Having said all this massive improvement in getting through to surgery and appointments I’ve had have been dealt with swiftly with not much waiting time. Keep up the good work

    The practise should perhaps learn from other practises in area on how the non medical staff should conduct their service. It was clearly communicated by hospital doctors that my childs antibiotics were to be changed to stop the current infection immediately. However, after 3 phone calls and discussing this with 3 separate receptionists/appointment ladies they did not understand the urgency and offered a phone consultation with a nurse a week after. This was not acceptable and in the end after another a&e visit the hospital doctors changed the antibiotics. The staff need to listen and care about patients. They do not have specific medical qualifications to tell parents that a week with the wrong antibiotics is fine. This does pose a risk. It is also historic behaviour as we have experienced this many times before. The practice manager does have to stop supporting this behaviour and listen to the patients viewpoints. I would recommend looking at other practices for advise.

    Brilliant service all staff are friendly,helpful informative & polite and do their upmost to help you,there has clearly been a shake up of things, in terms of better communication with patients,not that I personally ever had an issue with that but I can tell there’s a more positive communication from staff.I would recommend this surgery it’s the best one I’ve ever been part of,you feel like you are actually been listened to an everything is dealt with in a timely manner

    My call was answered by helpful and polite receptionist who made me an appointment to see the relevant clinician & arranged for a pharmacist to call me the same day. Very good service following my initial call

    I’ve had to visit the practice on numerous occasions in the past nine months for different health reasons but what stands out to me on every visit is how fantastically well the reception is managed! The team are always polite, very helpful and remain calm whilst dealing with the constant heavy flow of demanding patients with a wide range of issues! They are super efficient and do a fantastic job!

    A request for two items on a prescription was not completed together. The effect was that when notified by the pharmacy only part was available so wasting a round trip of some 5 miles which had to be repeated. At a recent visit to see the doctor for blood test results I arrived early for a 09:00 first appointment but was kept waiting for 40 minutes even after reminding the receptionist twice. I think I had been forgotten about.

This is not what we would expect, and I would encourage you to call and speak to a senior member of our team so we can take more details and investigate the incident so you can receive an explanation. We would not want patients to have to wait 40 minutes for an appointment, but sometimes clinicians can encounter urgent or even emergency complex problems. This can cause a delay and our receptionists should keep waiting patients informed. Please be assured we would not forget about waiting patients - in fact our system informs us when patients have arrived and been checked in.
