  1. Review titled Quick helpful service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Penny - Posted on 13 April 2023

I am so impressed with the speed and efficiency with which my request for asthma treatment was handled. The receptionist listened carefully and made a telephone appointment for the same day. I was carefully assessed over the phone and my history considered. My medication was available the same afternoon. Everybody in the practice is kind, willing to listen and keen to help. The practice is well organised with minimal wait times and a good balance between GPS, nurses and other professionals. I am delighted to be registered with the Grange Group Practice and would recommend them very highly for patient care. Thank you.

  2. Review titled Great experience

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 April 2023

I rang in the morning regarding a 6m old and a cough. Appointment set at my convenience later thar day. On arrival I waited two minutes, seen and diagnosed immediately. Medicine issued (difficulties at our chosen pharmacy) but service at the doctors was incredible. I've had mixed experiences at this practise over six years but the last year has seen a dramatic improvement and all my family now go here.

  3. Review titled Poor mental health services

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Katie Louise Spry - Posted on 02 May 2023

I reached out for help with mental health as it is impacting on my sleep, I am coming up to the anniversary of my sons birthday and death, they give me an appointment for 2 weeks time with attachments for crisis.. I want to speak to someone sooner than 2 weeks especially as the appointment is after the birthday mentioned.. this service at this gp has continued to get worse as last year it took 8 days just to get help after my son had died... it is disgusting, I am unfortunately not in a position to be able to move as choices are limited since keldergate was closed in covid

Dear Katie Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and I'm sorry to hear you are suffering with your mental health following these tragic events. Please be assured we are all here to help you. I have asked a member of the team to call you and discuss this further to see what we can do to help, how we can be more aware of the background and what we can do to better understand such specific and important needs of our patients. I hope you can understand, that whilst we are proud to be the first port of call for many patients, we are a "General" Practice - and some services may need specialist intervention, which often requires onward referral. We are aware that local mental health services are under immense pressures. Keldregate is our branch site, managed and run by same team as The Grange. I hope my colleague is able to support you and resolve any bad-feeling you have against the practice, and I hope you will give us chance to support you better. Kind regards DS

  4. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gideon Calliste - Posted on 02 May 2023

Although there are times when the services are not always 100% and that's expected in today's climate, all in all, I've been very satisfied with the services provided.

  5. Review titled Some improvements

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Collating patient information so that patient can get the necessary treatment, it seems that information between hospitals is not been verified. I have sustained a serious nerve damage and I do not have sensation to touch in my dominant hand. But GP seems to not have a verification on the outcome of my injury. I have raised this with the hand consultant at the appt with him on 30 March, he will be performing a nerve induction test in the next 7 weeks approx to verify that. In the meantime I have requested to be dealt with one particular GP so that he is more informed of what is happening. Due to different people talking to me I have to explain everything each time and having separate appts for various things which is time consuming for everyone. For example I had an appointment for physio, but she said she can only see me regarding my leg, but I explained to her that I wanted my back and neck seen to aswell, she explained that would need to be requested separately, which does not make sense to me. If these things can be improved it would be less stressful both sides.

Dear patient Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and 4-star rating. As one of the largest practices in Huddersfield, we do have a large team of clinicians and this can affect patients ability to see the same clinician each time. I understand that can be frustrating, but please be assured all clinicians can follow on from each others notes. It was helpful to hear your feedback about the first contact physio service. This is a third party service offered through our primary care network. Unfortunately, appointment timings do mean there is often only time to assess and treat a single problem, but we would be happy to make other appointments for you. It simply isn’t safe to try to squeeze multiple problems into a single appointment. A double appointment may have been helpful for you. Your feedback will be shared with the wider team at our next practice meeting. Kind regards DS

  7. Review titled Unbelievably unprofessional

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 April 2023

I visited this GP practice three times. Every single time the experience has been getting worse and worse. I can not believe that NHS and the peoples tax is being spent on a surgery that is so unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate. The GP's are rude and stubborn. They will not let you explain your symptoms fully or listen to you, they automatically assume they already know your symptoms and are very rude and will tell you to stop talking half way through explanation of your symptoms. They will make rude, inappropriate comments about how you look. It is a surgery that needs to be closed down immediately, it should never exist.

  10. Review titled Speedy service but no cure

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 April 2023

Speedy service for a new born. But didn't get to the bottom of a health issue. Baby coughing continually at night and is now not chesty but upper respiratory tract/nasal but a issue for several months, no referral, no remedy (despite family allergies and nasal issues/surgery).
