I have just completed a medication review, with 2 appointments. The first with a nurse, tests ect. The second appointment I assumed with be with a Dr. No it was a pharmacist. No one told me this would be the case. I am disappointed that I did not see a Dr, i was not totally comfortable, and did not want to discuss my medical history with a pharmacist. I had also waited weeks for this appointment

This was the 1st time visiting my actual practice and not Beversbrook in 3 or more years. I much prefer Patford house and the staff etc have always been much better. My gp was only 5 mins late with my appointment and I felt she listened to and took in what I was after. She also gave me practical and sensible advice. My only gripe was that I emailed what I wanted to discuss initially and was sent a generic email detailing how I could communicate to book an appointment. I’d already explained what it was about and they wasted 4 days by doing this. The good days of being able to speak to someone direct are very sorely missed

The medical team are friendly understanding and supportive. The staff answering the phone can be really abrupt, I should imagine they get a lot of negativity but when you’ve been on hold for over 40 minutes it’s not surprising. The system is not fit for practice. Although I needed a conversation with a medical professional I was well enough to remain at work, therefore meaning I can’t be on hold for hours and can’t necessarily be available the moment the phone rings. It seems the system only works if you can be doing nothing other than sitting by a phone.

After feeling unusual fatigue and aches for several days I made an appointment on line using Patches during the morning and was given an appointment for 2.30 pm same day. I have Pulmonary Hypertension. The doctor said it was a classic virus and that I needed rest. Unfortunately that night my conditions massively worsened and was admitted the next day with Pneumonia.

Always had a good response from my consultations, waiting times on phone a nightmare. Only criticism is the time it takes to book an appointment and to be seen. The staff at dispensary in Sutton Benger also so friendly and helpful
