Booking an appointment with this practice is ridiculously difficult. There is no way to book in advance and all you get told is to go online at 730am these available appointments are gone within an hour and then the online part is closed. I have needed an appointment for almost 3 weeks but due to the restrictions on booking I still have not been able to get one regardless of having lots of availability I don't tend to be available at 7am to go online! It should not be this hard. Surely you should just be able to call.and book in advance i wouldnt even mind a 3 week wait if i could just book it. Terrible system

I used the online form to explain what I needed (a chat with the nurse and the renewal of a prescription). I was phoned back later that day and made an appointment about five days later which was fine as the issue wasn't urgent. I was seen on time, had a good chat with the nurse and was issued with my prescription. No complaints!

This is a review based on the practice itself and should have no bearing on the practitioners who are excellent in what they do. The process of obtaining an appointment (whilst slightly improved recently by allowing patients to submit a form at 7.30am) is proven difficult, patients are having to wait all day for a doctor to call which means likely to miss a call as not known when this call will come through between 9-6pm. The only way to avoid missing a call is basically to sit there and stare at your phone whilst trying to work or do other activities. Further, it can take up to several weeks from when symptoms first appeared to receiving medication this is because further tests may be required, which means having to start the whole process again and book in an appointment to chase up results. Once results received, one will have to make a third appointment to be seen by a doctor to recommend medication! By this time, it’s been 3 weeks with on-going symptoms which all could have been dealt with within a week and resolved with medication. Imagine suffering from UTI but having to wait 2-3 weeks before getting somewhere with it.

I was seen promptly by a nurse at the practice after a blood pressure issue was identified during an NHS Health Check. The appointment was on time and the nurse was competent and efficient whilst still being friendly and taking the time to answer my questions.

The experienced nurse I saw put me at ease was highly personable and a great listener. Her experience and ability shone through. One of the best experiences I have had here.
