    I came to have a blood test - an error was found on my record which the nurse dealt with efficiently- I felt reassured.

    Seen by very nice, thorough and competent GP. Organised investigations and referral and followed through with a text message about some of the results. Would recommend.

    From making initial contact with the on line appointment service I received a call back within an hour and an appointment the same day. I also was referred for further tests within a week and received a follow up call 10 days after my initial appointment. Every contact I had with staff at the Hollies was very polite and understanding. Exceptional service in my opinion.

    Grateful that the practice offers so many additional services. My recent appointment with the nurse was friendly, helpful & efficient. My only regret is the long waiting time both for the appointment date, and then on arrival. I felt embarrassed for two other patients who had arrived before me & were still waiting after myself and another late arriving patient had been seen. They seemed to have been abandoned upstairs with no information as to why they had to wait so long after their arrival time.

    I had waited over 5 weeks for a routine appointment. I had a few things to discuss but was promptly told that only two issues could be dealt with. I explained that I had been waiting for a long time as I didn’t like to book an urgent appointment when the issues weren’t urgent. I was told I would have to book yet another appointment to discuss the remaining issues , the earliest of which is in another four weeks ( and still not with an actual GP) . I have much respect for the Hollies Medical Centre and have had great service in the past. I do understand the current restraints/ problems in health service provision and feel sympathetic towards General Practice. However, there has been increasing difficulty for a long while in accessing appointments with the relevant GPs ( let alone one of choice ) at the Hollies. Despite this feedback I want to acknowledge a particular GP who has been very helpful with a member of my family, even at short notice, for which we are grateful. Still, I’m hoping that my own non urgent problems don’t become urgent or more serious in the 10 weeks I’ll have had to wait.

    Elderly, with broken back. Bad reaction to co-codamol. Phoned for advice re pain management. Told 'no capacity, go to walk in centre'. Ending conversation by saying 'no problem ' was no help to me. After 30 years I have moved to a different practice.

    Easy reminders of appointments, along with GP's determinded to treat the indignities of life with understanding kindness and forthright honesty make each appointment to sort ladies issues brearable, real and dignified. such a gift thank you

    All the GPs there are great and they have good systems in place to assess need and make sure you have an appointment if you need one. They’re especially good with babies and young kids - I’ve had one join in singing a nursery rhyme to my baby to calm them down, another make a sticker for my toddler to distract them. Great support for every problem we’ve been to them with across the whole family.

    Everything good but. I don’t think people on reception should take calls from patients to be overheard by other service users. I think the receptionist is just that and is personable and greets: this doesn’t happen right now. For injections perhaps use the in site pharmacy rather than the sugery.
