My wife had been ill for about 10 days and things seemed to be getting worse. I asked her to ring the surgery but she would say "I will have to wait for weeks". I took things in my hand and phoned the surgery. I was 30th in the que and waited 25 minutes to be number 1, then I spoke to someone and gave them information about my wife and my worry about her. They said they would ring back in a few minutes, which they did, and said a doctor would by to us between 9 and 12 A.M.. The doctor came at about 9.30 and took a sample of my wife's urine and said "she has a urine infection, and I will electrictely send a prescription for you to collect in the next 2 hours which she did and I collected the prescription a couple of hours later. I am happy to say my wife is on the mend

Total waste of NHs and patient time. Following a failed cortisone injection at Kingston Cresent 9 May 23, a following appointment was made for a second cortisone injection 22 June 23 during phone consultation 30 May 23. I attended Cosham Surgery only to be told it was too soon after 1st injection. I then attended my Crookhorn Surgery who made phone calls and informed me that nurse Said it was too dangerous to have a 2 nd injection. Unfortunately all pain killers prescribed have had unpleasant side effects, I take iIbuprofen 6 x 200mg daily resulting in stomach disorders I informed surgery of my problems who prescribed tablets. My Chemist requested a further prescription this was refused.At the age of 84 being told to Apply on line make phone calls at 8am,10am and 2pm, only to be told by recorded message to try later, I have given up.

Didn’t like the computer thing u put details in and then get told how long u have to wait and where to wait seems pointless when u have people sat on fest just Chatting

Thank you for comments, the self-check in facility usually receives positive feedback. The staff at reception are able to chat whilst working however we will share your experience with the team.

The appointment was cancelled, but I was not informed. I turned up at 11.30, and the robot told me I had no appointment. The receptionist explained that many appointments had been cancelled that day, and arranged another appointment for two weeks later.

Went for a blood test, which was performed painlessly and efficiently. When I asked what was I being tested for, the nurse read out the tests requested by the GP and explained those which were not obvious.

The actual appointment was just fine. The lady who took my blood was very friendly and professional. However, the original appointment was for a blood pressure check requested by you. When I re-arranged this appointment the blood test was added to the appointment again at your request. The phlebotomist was not able to take my blood pressure and I was sent to use the “pod”. I don’t think this was either accurate or satisfactory as the results were not easy to obtain and at 135/36 a little strange. I’m not even sure if the results were submitted to the system!

Rang last Wednesday morning, had call back from Doctor within 15 minutes. Asked to come to Kingston Crescent surgery 90 minutes later. Saw lovely doctor who arranged xray, said would probably be 3 weeks wait. 6 days later xray done at St Mary’s, results were online today with text from Doctor saying what next steps were. I thought the service was wonderful and how lucky we are to have the NHS. Thank you to everyone.
