    Waited 2 wks for phone consultation,it wasn't an emergency but still considered this to long,Dr was helpful and polite,and was all sorted in one phone call

    Dear Lisa, I am sorry to hear that you considered this to be a long wait, we do strive continually try to make routine appointments available under the 2 week period. Sometimes depending on the patients availability, preference with GP, demand and leave/sick this can sometimes go over. I can see to date our next routine available appointment is less than 1 week.     total waste of time, 3 weeks trying to get an appointment and now ran out of medication and acute drugs included but wont prescribe till I have been seen..........no appointments for a week, very poor service

    Dear Patient, I am sorry that you feel that the practice is a waste of time. I am somewhat surprised to hear that you have been trying to get an appointment for 3 weeks, as at present our routine Doctors appointments are running at 2-3 working days and is the best capacity we have had for sometime. In regards to your medication, I am sure there is a valid reason for this not being prescribed until you have had a review with the Doctor.     It takes 2 weeks to get a phone consultation and then a week or more for a F2F consultation. So expect to suffer symptoms for the best part of a month. Which is very frustrating when suffering a skin condition.

    Cancelled my appointment for a Taxi medical. This has put my renewal in complete disarray but they don't seem to care. They claim to have a doctor off sick but can't rearrange with a different Doctor. I could potentially be forced to sit out work for a number of weeks because of this.

    Dear Mr Whale I am sorry that you are unhappy with the practice. Taxi medical's are not part of NHS work and are classed as private work and most NHS GP's do not take on additional private work within practices. I can confirm that on this occasion we did have on GP off sick and one GP on annual leave, leaving only one GP in the practice. Therefore their priority is NHS work only. I can see that you were booked in one week later for this Private Taxi medical when the GP returned from their sickness and I do hope that this is now completed and your renewal has been updated.     Always pleasant and friendly when I have a face to face appointment, any quires I have they sort out and ring me back if I've rang in or if in the practice it's normally sorted before I leave.

    My Gp appointment was a phone call appointment which was sufficient for my condition, phone call was on time and efficient, GP was clear and professional, a follow up appointment was made within 4 days to see a nurse, overall experience was very good.

    Only been with the practice since October 2022 and had nothing but issues, handful of rude unhelpful reception staff, one nice girl on reception willing to help, it’s like a Russian roulette of will you get listened to and help. If you’ve got a child be prepared to exaggerate symptoms to get your child a face to face otherwise you’ll just fobbed off with a phone call and a prescription even when requesting appointment for health issues on multiple occasions. Now dealing with a lovely Dr who was also unhappy with the fact my child had never been seen but had been given prescriptions and I had to exaggerate their symptoms to get them in. Never managed to get an appointment myself for mental health due to reception staff. Was told off by a receptionist when trying to request a prescription as I newish patient I still had not had the online ask my gp set up with I did try to explain but got a telling off and a rather rude response, I was then put on hold and told she had to do something? When the phone call continued a different receptionist answered I explain all again only this girl actually listened, put the prescription through and then actually helped me set up the askmygp and sent over relevant information to do so which previously hadn’t been done. Recently had an asthma review booked in but got a phone call day before telling me they were going to cancel it because I’ve already had a review? So they wanted to better use my appointment, I’ve only ever seen the asthma nurse once and this was my initial appointment Overall not the greatest experience really only staying as the doctors my child sees is brilliant.

    Chapel medical is fine - few issues over the last 12 months but easily rectified - would like to be able have face to face with doctors rather than phone call but can be done but very difficult to organise

    Dear Patient, Many thanks for taking the time to write this review. I am sorry to hear that you have a few issues over the last 12 months, but it is good to hear that these were resolved. In regards to face to face appointments, we offer these as routine and on the day urgent for patients with a medical concern that require an examination. We have never stopped offering face to face appointments even through the covid pandemic. It would be great to more information from you about your difficulties obtaining a face to face appointment, as this would give me an understanding of issues that patients are facing when booking appointments.
