    Great as always, since covid has been a bit harder to get an appointment but one can have a telephone appointment but all staff are always lovely to deal with

    I was seen on time, with little waiting time. Nursing staff are brilliant. Reassuring and friendly, putting the patient at ease.

    I had revived by text an appt from the Gp for a telephone consult Re Blood test results. The telephone push button system didn’t seem to cover what I required so I walked done to the surgery. Explain to a pleasant Receptionist the fact that the appt just sent 16 th Jan conflicted with a post op Consultant appt at Buckland Hosp. Dover. She spoke to a member of Staff in reception who said theee were no appts left for phone consults. I was told to phone in on the Friday 20 th Jan. The appt for the telephone consult was not cancelled for the following week. ! Why do patients have to so much leg work?

    Recently I had an Asthma review telephone consultation. This saved me time and no doubt the Practice time. I'm personally in favour of telephone appointments and completing the online eConsult forms. The eConsult form gives you time to put down everything you need to say without worrying about the 10minute appointment slot. If the Practice feels that a face to face appointment is necessary then that will be arranged. I know that a telephone consultation and eConsult form is new but in my opinion it is just a different method of getting the help you need.

    I received a text saying results from blood test where in and telephone appointment had been arranged for 3 weeks later from a doctor. 3 weeks of worrying about results. The doctor rang and seemed to have trouble either understanding my questions or just did not know how to answer me. The only thing he told me was to make an appointment for another blood test in 3 months time. That information could have been sent in the original text and saved my 3 weeks of worry.

    I am very pleased with the nurses care which I regard as excellent. The receptionist are very helpful. I’m very disappointed with the GP’s as they seem to insist on telephone appointments where the patient is left having to describe sometimes complicated symptoms that would best dealt with by having a timely appointment which is usually two to three weeks which is completely unreasonable. They also work from home and at very long distances according to one doctor. This must be improved in the interests of patients safety.
