  1. Review titled OK practice

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Extremely unlikely to see a g p now days. Also very rare to get an appointment when you want one. Had to wait just over a week to have a blood test. To tell the receptionist your symptoms can sometimes be quite embarrassing ,as when I was asked my symptoms she said how do you know that's what your suffering when those symptoms are common at my age.explain that one.

Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. You can ask to be placed on a GP waiting list at any time if that is your wish, please just ask the contact centre and they will facilitate this request for you. We do operate a triaging system to ensure patients are seen by the most appropriate clinician; this is common across all primary care providers now. I am sorry if sometimes questions feel embarrassing. Please be reassured that your information is treated confidentially. You can always contact us online if you would prefer not to talk to the contact centre on the telephone. Kindest thanks again Jennifer Nichols Practice Manager

I couldn’t get an appointment to see a doctor they offered me a telephone call I got the call yesterday after a few weeks when I called the doctors which she wasn’t helpful at all it was like she didn’t know what she was talking about I do think if your asking to see a doctor you should be allowed.

Dear Chanel Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. You can ask to be added to a GP waiting list for a non urgent routine matter at any time. Again, you can ask that this is a face to face appointment if that is your preference. Do email us on feedback.bchc@nhs.net and we will help you directly. Kindest thanks Jennifer Nichols Practice Manager

  3. Review titled Not great

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Booking an appointment is difficult and convoluted. First you call, then you get sent a link, then you complete a form that goes back and forth by text. Then you get a link to book appointment. It took 5 hours from 1st call to appointment booked. Talking with a human would be so much quicker. Then when we got the link to book, there were no after school appointments or options for a different time of day, other than between 8 and 9.30am. My son was late for school as a result. We didn't even get to see a Doctor so aren't convinced about the diagnosis and treatment received. The nurse practitioner was late by 30 minutes. We booked the appointment for 8am to minimise disruption to my son's school day. Overall a very inpersonal, unprofessional experience. I would not recommend this practice.

  4. Review titled Fair practice

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have been with this practice for more than one year. It is difficult to get a day to see a GP, the waiting list is long. I have been trying to see a gynaecologist and it was difficult for me to get an appointment with one. Over all , the receptionist are nice and friendly, and they return calls as well

Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. If there is a specific GP you want to see for a non urgent routine issues then their waiting list times can be variable. If you have a need for a gynae referral then the wait times for being seen sit with the hospital and are outside of our control sadly, but if your symptoms are worryingly urgent then we will always do what we can to help expedite your appointment in secondary care. Kindest thanks again Jennifer Nichols Practice Manager

  5. Review titled Seen swiftly

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Marian Chippendale - Posted on 08 February 2024

I was seen swiftly and the lady I saw was very helpful and attentive and listened to my concerns. I didn’t want surgery or any more medication for my problem and was given exercises to try. I also managed to obtain a quick appointment for an injection in my thumb joint.

Dedicated GP now means that one GP is looking after my health. They are available whenever I wish (via surgery email) Just how it was back in the 1950's and 1960's.

  10. Review titled booking for baby under 1 makes difficult

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Linh Tran - Posted on 20 February 2024

My 9m baby seems to be constantly sick these days. He got a high fever, then got better the next day, then high fever again. We have followed all advice from government website and tried to treat him at home. Anyhow when his temperature felt ok, he got flu/cold symptoms and rash all over his face and body. That worried me a lot. Yesterday I called 111 for a whole day and couldn't get through. I tried to book an appointment with Banbury Cross Health but only to be informed that I had to call 111. I tried to explain my situation and that I had called 111 many times and waited for a long time for no response. However, nothing could be done and that seems to be the rule we have to follow.
