    The man I saw was lovely and very understanding of my situation he did my check up and talked me through everything he was doing left happy would definitely recommend

    The dentist just looked in my mouth visually and didn’t actually poke or prod at all so it seemed pointless. The check up took less than a minute. And then told me to come back in 6 months rather than 12 months with no clear reason why based on her visual check. Both the dentist and hygienist also moved the chair up and backwards without warning which for someone with sensory sensitivity to movement is incredibly overwhelming

    Im an anxious patient but the dentist was so good at making me feel relaxed. Explained each part of the filling and was really positive and encouraging.

    I was in the dentist chair for about 1.5 hours, I felt relaxed throughout Zeena kept me updated with the progress, even though I’m not a fan of the drill, I felt no pain, I have a temp crown on u til my next apt when my permanent one will be fitted. Zeena is very gentle, thank you.

    The dentist was patronising and constantly pushed me to pick private options in a way that was belligerent. He booked me in for a private hygienist appointment without confirming or checking I could afford that, and when I chose to go for a cheaper metal filling began warning me that there was a danger if I chose that I may damage the tooth and need a crown fitting. He was not reassuring at all. He also told me my gum disease had progressed which was news to me as my previous dentists have never told me I have gum disease - I’m not doubting I do, but I feel I should have been told this earlier. He also disregarded my complaints about tooth pain and told me it was probably the gum disease, although the pain I’ve had matches up with a tooth he told me might need a filling replacing. Generally me made me feel very inadequate about my care for my teeth, which upset me as I haven’t needed a filling in years, brush my teeth twice a day including flossing everyday and using interdental brushes most days. He left me feeling like an idiot, to be quite honest. I’ve been going to this surgery since I was a child, and I was once classed as a nervous patient; this is the first time since then I’ve left the surgery in tears. I don’t mind being told I need treatment, but I don’t appreciate being made to feel like a child and I don’t appreciate being pushed to spend money I don’t have. I appreciate the surgery also has a private element but this appointment very much felt like touting for business which I don’t think is appropriate in the current financial climate.
