    Been seen on time. Greeted by the receptionist. The dentist at surgery 5 was very fast and did her best. The only inconvenient is that I m still little bit painful after nearly 24 hours of the wisdom tooth extraction.

    Hi Team, I was trying to get new appointment on 14th Feb 23. I have tried calling from 11:10 am when my number came to 2 suddenly it started saying we are busy call again. I was on wait until 15 minutes. I tried again and when my came around 11.45 am the receptionist told me we are busy cannot book appointment and asked me to call again tomorrow. I have told her that I was trying from 11:10 am and line was getting dropped. She was not at all helpful, very rude and not in a mood to help at all. When I asked her name and told her I want to leave review she has disconnected the line saying thank you. Would you please take this matter seriously and speak to the receptionist who deliberately disconnected the line did not give the information. I would be awaiting your response to this specific query and not a general response.

    Have been a patient here for over 5 years, and the dentists and hygienists are great. However, the reception staff service is poor, I finally got through by phone on my 4th attempt (after waiting in the queue described by other reviewers and reaching 'caller number 1' only to have the call disconnected or restart from 'you are caller number 8 ....') in the last week to confirm my paid for an appointment next week as I had not received a confirmation email to complete the relevant forms prior to my appointment. Reception was unconcerned about that but did send the confirmation I wanted. Seems due to demand they are not interested in keeping paying customers?! Improvement with reception is sorely needed as this is not the way it had previously been. A real shame.

    My dentist went beyond amazing! His care & thoughtfulness has touched me so much. My dentist showed so much care & talked me through every step of the procedures & was so aware of my how anxious I was. I cannot commend him enough.

    Can be hard to get an appointment as it is a very busy practise, my original date as 3 weeks after my phone call. Put name down for cancellation, they rang me 2 weeks later if a new date, great. Nice dentist explained what she was doing.

    I am always a little anxious about trips to the dentist. I had two appointments recently - firstly for a check-up with the dentist and secondly for a clean with the dental hygienist. Reception staff were welcoming, efficient, helpful and polite. Waiting room is bright and clean, but lacks a TV screen or music to provide distraction from an anxious wait. I was seen on time on both occasions. Both dentist and dental hygienist explained what they were doing as they went along, and offered me breaks should I need them, which I found reassuring. The treatment was carried out carefully and attentively (I didn't feel rushed or as if I was merely on a conveyor belt of patients) and I was offered advice about oral health and looking after my teeth. Their assistants were unobtrusively helpful and also demonstrated skilled use of the 'suction' instrument - which meant I was never uncomfortable. One possible improvement I would suggest is for the reception desk area to be relocated or reorganised if possible. There is limited space between the entrance/exit, the reception desk and the seated waiting area, so that - when the practice is busy - it is not easy to work out if there is a queue in place, where to join it, or if patients waiting for receptionists before/after treatment have separate queues. Perhaps a system and clear signage for separate queues would help? In this limited space, there is also an issue around confidentiality when patients are giving details. It might prove difficult to relocate/rearrange the reception area to offer greater privacy, but perhaps it could be considered. Overall though, I am very impressed and satisfied with Abbey Dental Practice.

    I was very happy the dentist I saw all were so friendly and understanding and make me feel comfortable as I really get nervous to go to the dentist. Only downside is when I rang to change my appointment I was in the queue but when I no came to three the call got disconnected this happened four times and one time it said line busy try again

    Although the problem with the teeth was resolved, but they did not provide sufficient answers to the questions or to explain the problem i had and how to take care of it from happening again if possible.
