I would unreservedly recommend SpaMedica Preston to anyone having to undergo a cataract procedure. From initial assessment to undergoing the procedure, SpaMedica provide an excellent and thoroughly professional service. All the care arrangements have patients at the heart of them and all stages of the procedures are planned and carried out in a very professional manner and the service concentrates on the patient’s needs and benefits. All the staff at SpaMedica have excellent customer care skills and every patient is treated with respect. They are friendly, supportive and have a genuine interest in individual patients. SpaMedica has a first class reputation and my experience of their services further underlines this.

Everyone at SpaMedica was very polite and helpful even the doorman down to the lady that gives you the drops at the end they couldn't do enough for you

From walking in the door to leaving, the care and friendliness at this clinic was exemplary. All the stages leading up to surgery were explained clearly and the surgery itself was very good, only seeming to last about 5 minutes.

The coordination between Specsavers and SpaMedica is second to non, I was most impressed by the way and speed with which I was dealt with. All the staff were very professional and caring nothing was a problem for them. I was made to feel at ease at all stages of my treatment I have nothing but praise for them all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart my sight is fantastic, I’m seeing things I hadn’t realised were there. Thanks again

Wish most of the NHS was like this , sensible helpful no waiting and very good communication between departments, would recommend this place to anyone especially people with Autism

I could not speak more highly of my experience at SpaMedica, Preston. All staff were friendly, efficient and very capable. I had my first cataract procedure in October and the result has been transformational with my sight in that eye matching the best it has been in my 73 years to date. I very much look forward to my upcoming second operation which I feel confident will prove equally effective. Thank you SpaMedica.

I suffer from extreme anxiety and medical phobias a life long situation from a bad experience 60 years ago. I put off going to my optician as my left eye became blurred due to fearing something other than new glasses was a distinct possibility. At a check up I was diagnosed with a cataract. I was referred to Spamedica in Preston by my wonderful optician. All within 4 weeks from that referral I was operated on and its already changed my life. I realise how bad my eye sight was and now I can see so well I cannot believe what I had been living with as my sight was not great in one eye. Two days after the operation I am typing this, near distance has also improved and I can see long distance again with no problem. I can honestly say the team at spamedica from the ever cheerful porter who welcomed us at the door and smiled through my snappy demeanor due to my fear, he sat with me telling me I was going to be fine as his colleagues were amazing (he was right they are), to my wonderful skilled surgeon , and the wonderful nurses I got through this. Nothing happened to put me off or from saying to anyone don't hesitate to have this done, this will change your life. All the staff made me feel safe and supported mentally and physically . Nothing was too much trouble and they are fully supportive of someone with mental health problems as I have. These people have changed my life and I thank and appreciate everything they have done for me. I never thought I could face something like this but these wonderful people held my hand metaphorically and during the operation physically. Not all super heros wear capes! I am honoured and delighted I could leave this review

My mum went for cataract surgery. She has short term memory loss and was a bit confused. The staff were amazing with her from walking into leaving. They arranged for a nurse to hold her hand during surgery and made her feel safe and comfortable. Can't thank them enough
