I got my appointment for assessment within days of being referred. The hospital was very nice, even welcoming. The staff were excellent They explained all procedures that i would go through and assured me that on the day of the operation I would feel no pain due to drops. If at any time i felt discomfort i could let them know and more drops would be given. Yes it takes a few hours to get through it all but i went home with a operation time Which i managed to get 11 days. later. The day of my operation i was calm, i was given a small type pellet put in lower lid. This takes about 45 mins to fully dilate the eye. slight sting but not bad. I wnt to room details retaken and Dr came in retested eye then i went to theatre. The procedure was most fine, but we had couple of glitches with machine, this made me a little nervous. After this was sorted my opertaion continued and i felt a little discomfort.The nurse in the room who i unable to name was wonderful she held my hand through last minutes of my operation. It was then over in no time. My shield was put on and i was able to go to discharge. I cannot thank the staff enough for there wonderful care and empathy. A wonderful group of professionals all working hard together. Bless you all. Discomfort and ache sting was felt that evening Day after operation I have minor ache in the eye and all looks normal. Taking my drops as directed and I can see. Yes I see very well through my operated eye. I can see things clearly i not seen for years. Thank you so much Patricia Isbell

Very satisfied with all aspects of the clinic. Approachable friendly staff, from welcoming me on my arrival, lovely reception team, all were very kind. My surgery was explained to me in depth, and any questions I had were answered. Both surgeries were performed without issue. My eyesight now is life changing. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend you. Thank you so much, David Ashton.

Really surprised how quick I was referred. Friendly reception staff quickly put me at ease. Could not believe how quick surgery was. Surgeon introduced himself and explained what he was going to do. Cannot praisethe entire staff enough. Highly recommend SpaMedica.

I received a very warm and professional welcome when I entered the clinic, which continued throughout my experience up to and including my cataract operation. The staff are a credit to the NHS generally and Spa Medica in particular. More of this should be reported, rather than all the bad news the media love to feed on. Well Done everyone at Spa Medica!

Professional, efficient procedure starting as I entered Spa Medica and continuing throughout. Staff put me at ease as they each carried out their part of the process. I await my next appointment with no trepidation whatsoever

All the staff were pleasant and polite, even the staff on the door. The doctors were efficient and understanding. You were never rushed and all the procedures were explained in detail and you could ask any questions that you needed to. I will recommend this hospital to anyone who needs it. If only the rest of the NHS were like this it would be wonderful, as all of the staff were a privilege to meet.

All staff members considerate. I have a walking disabilty and profound hearing loss. All taken into account. Nurses explained each step of assessment and operation clearly to me, reducing my anxiety with my hearing loss. Still in process of eye settling down after cataract operation. One week ago But already improvement.
