Left eye fantastic operation. Surgeon deserved a medal, brilliant . Right eye horrible experience would not recommend this procedure to anyone with this surgeon. Was reduced to tears. Only good thing were nurses in theatre, exceptional. All other staff were caring and fautless. Loved them.

I have nothing but praise for Spamedica Preston, this was my second cataract surgery, first one was 12 months ago. From start to finish the whole team was amazing!!!!!

My experience at SpaMedica was very smooth running,all the staff from the surgeon, nurses to receptionist were very helpful,kind and caring and put you at ease.

I was referred to SpaMedica Preston from Specsavers in Clitheroe for my cataract to be done. Every member of staff there from the reception man who saw to the door to the surgeon were very friendly and pleasant to me. It helped keep me calm in a nervous situation Will be having my other eye done in a couple of months and I am confident with the service Thank you

Excellent experience. Short waite for first appointment and only 7 days to first operation after first appointment. Staff where very friendly and put your at ease. On day of operation everything was well organised and the surgery went smoothly. The surgeon explained everything that was going to happen and the surgery went very well. At this point in time my eye seems 100%improved.

I was Very impressed from start to finish in having my cataract surgery. All staff were professional throughout & eager to put me at ease. They were available to answer any questions. I cannot thank you enough for giving me back good sight after 75yrs wearing spectacles! I now live in a world of colour!

Great nursing staff, but surgeon was cold and uncaring with absolutely no bedside manner. He did not speak during the procedure or reassure me in any way. He did not fully explain what was happening, but merely shrugged at my questions or answered in a very offhand manner. He more or less began the procedure before I’d even lain down and I felt tugging and a strong aching feeling whilst he was operating which made me realise my eye was not fully numbed. At the end he did not did not ask how I felt or even say ‘goodbye’, but I was simply passed straight to the Discharge Nurse and was back in the car with no time to just sit and ‘come to’. Traumatised does not even come close. I expected reassurance, but felt like a piece of meat who they could not wait to get rid of and onto the next poor soul. Probably the worst medical experience I’ve ever had and I certainly won’t be having my other eye done at SpaMedica!

Very efficient service, smoothly run. All staff extremely friendly. Everything I needed to know was explained to me. Speedy and well executed operation. Aftercare available if needed.
