From the original assessment to the actual surgery it has been a very good experience. You are made to feel very relaxed the staff are very pleasant and friendly I would highly recommend.

From the moment you first enter the practice you are greeted with a professional - but very warm - welcome, which continues through from front desk to the surgical team. A quick smooth process from the pre-op tests to actual day of surgery - with each step in the procedure clearly explained: at no stage do you ever feel rushed, staff taking time to discuss any worries or questions you may have. The operation itself was super efficient and over in minutes with, for me, no pain or discomfort. Indeed, given I'm a life-long 'white coat' scary, I found it an absolute breeze. 10/10 to all the team.

Can’t fault the care, cleanliness and was fully informed what to expect. The staff all introduced themselves by name and happy to answer any questions.

Had my eyes checked am, in the afternoon Spamedica rang to give me an appointment 2 days after. Pre med then two days after that my operation. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, put me at ease. Operation was quick and I felt fine. Can’t wait to ave my other eye done. Great service.

I have just had my second cataract operation, and as my first one, everything went well. My eyesight has improved immensely. I have nothing but praise for all concerned, from receptionists , nurses and the surgeons. I highly recommend SpaMedica.

Went to Spa medica Preston what a great place, medical staff including the surgeon where great, helpful and knowledgeable, and everything was explained in detail regards to the procedure. Just want to get the other eye done now.

I was referred to Spa Medica by my Optician to have Cataract Operations on both eyes. As a result I was contacted by Spa Medica on the same day as the referral was made to attend the next day for an eye examination. The actual operation was carried out within 10 days of initial referral. The whole experience was absolutely excellent with all staff being caring, thorough and professional. Every step was explained very carefully with all aspects being clear and detailed. For example while I was being prepared for the operation I was covered up with just the one eye not covered and a voice asked me if I would like to hold their hand. I immediately said yes and found this very reassuring throughout. (The same thing applied when I subsequently had my second eye operated on, as planned, 5 weeks later). Post-operation discharge, including prescribing and explaining of the eye drops was also very clear. The following morning on removing the eye patch, as instructed, I was immediately thrilled to see the huge improvement in both clarity and colour in what I could see. This is now even better after the second eye operation. I was contacted by my Optician immediately on the 4 week point after the operation, who confirmed that the operation was successful and was referred back to Spa Medica for the second eye. This was equally successful and caringly and professionally carried out as per the first one. Now confirmed by my Optician as fully successful I am now waiting for my new glasses to come. It was explained very clearly by both my Optician and Spa Medica that I would still need glasses for reading. The building and rooms at Spa Medica were tidy and spotless, and parking right outside the building added to how well things went. This is especially as I am registered disabled so adjacent parking and a lift were both great. The whole experience has been wonderful, thank you to all the staff at Spa Medica, and to the NHS Team who commission the work to be done.
