I attended for an Assessment, and, only 5 days later for surgery to remove one cataract. I was so impressed on both occasions both by the cleanliness and comfort of the premises -- with free unlimited parking -- but more importantly by the professionalism , friendliness and genuine concern of every member of staff with whom I met and who was involved in my treatment and care. The only suggestion I would make is that when beginning surgery , the surgeon explains yor face will be covered by a mask. This would alleviate any sense of apprehension and anxiety. Beyond this, I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and their care, and wpuld certainly recommend Spa Medica to others.

I had my cataracts removed from my right eye and the experience was a good one. Transport was provided to take me from my home to SpaMedica at Poole and home again after the procedure. The staff are friendly and the facilities are good. The doctor doing the procedure was excellent and the care before the procedure was good and what was to happen was fully explained. Once the procedure was done, instructions on what I had to do in regards of drops to apply and when to apply them was clear. Information was given verbally and via an illustrated booklet. I was clearly told what I could and could not do in the following fortnight and what to do if something went wrong and I needed to contact the practice.

Very welcoming from reception and through the whole experience. Nursing staff explained procedure and Surgeon also before going into surgery. Surprised as to how quickly it all went. Amazed at the result and looking forward to having my other eye done! A wonderful Clinic.

My experience was made a good and enjoyable one through the expertise displayed by each member of staff coupled with their natural friendliness. Any anxieties I may have felt on arrival were more than quickly dispelled All procedures were carried out efficiently and in such a good natured manner that i was confident at all times that all would be well.

Arrived very jittery and nervous. All staff were wonderful and did their best to make people feel at ease. Long wait but was not a huge problem. Almost looking forward to getting the other eye done in a few weeks! Thank you Spamedica team Poole.

An impressive short length of time between referral, assessment and procedure. The process on the day of the procedure was smooth running and very professional. The receptionist was very welcoming. Staff were considerate and mainly informative. The care and treatment in the ante room and theatre was excellent with warm, approachable consultant and nurses. Perhaps some more information could have been given re the fact that there would be a 90 minute wait pre op. in a small ‘ward’ with up to 8 people without anything to do. It seemed especially hard for some people who seemed anxious. There was some discrepancy between the post operation advice given by the discharge nurse and the after care booklet re length of time to avoid certain activities. At one stage of the initial assessment appointment some very painful eye drops were inserted without any warning of this and I feel this was not best practice.

I had my surgery on Sunday and l am so happy with it. The staff were amazing and talked you through everything that was happening. Also the surgeon that did operation put you at ease. I was extremely nervous about having it done but it was no where near as bad as I thought,l would highly recommend them
