Cataract surgery. All staff very courteous and helpful. I was informed every step of the way as to what the proeedure entailed. Would highly recommend this practice.

I was put at ease from the moment I arrived starting with the receptionists, then all the nurses and surgeon who reassured me. Each department explained what they were going to do and answered any questions. Every one put you at ease

I have just completed the recovery for my second cataract operation (the first one was done there in October 2023). I cannot praise SpaMedica Leicester enough. The service and professionalism that I had from every single member of staff was exemplary. I can see clearer than I have ever been able to see and the results are so much better than I dared hope. Thank you very much.

I was very impressed with the way Spamedica dealt with my eye problems as, from the very outset I was dealt with extremely professionally - be it the contact I had by way of letter, email, text or the faultless way that the staff at Leicester greeted me and kept me fully informed (and full of coffee!) each time I attended for treatment. I had known for ten years or more that cataract surgery would be necessary and the thought filled me with dread. Just over 2 years ago, when my optician arranged for my left eye to be sorted, she said it could be an NHS hospital but strongly recommended the option of Spamedica. My first visit to Spamedica I was not looking forward to but my confidence in them increased with every point of contact such that after the pre-op appointment I was so impressed that I was the actually looking forward to the surgery. My right eye was 'fixed' in December 2021 and the next day- when I removed the eye patch I was astounded as our kitchen door was definately the 'Brilliant White' that it had said on the Dulux tin - with my right eye though the same door was a grubby looking Magnolia!! All was well for more than a year but then I started to get blurring of the text on a tv or computer screen so I arranged an eye test after which the optician said that I was probably one of the 10% that needed a follow-up procedure that would involve laser treatment to remove the 'clouding' that had occurred. At that I had visions of being strapped to a table like James Bond with smoke rising from my eyeball when the laser hit it. That wasn't the case though as the procedure was no more of an issue than any of the tests at an optician's when he/she asks you to put your chin on the rest and your forehead against the bar. So all was well - and it was minutes later, whilst I was being driven home, after the procedure that Spamedica rang me to book me in for my right eye - they certainly don't hang about. So now my right eye is sorted, as of just over a week ago, and my vision is so good that I don't need glasses - apart from for reading- and I have worn glasses for the best part of 40 years! I have gone on at length here, not just so that Spamedica can 'puff their chest out', but more to explain to anyone needing cataract surgery that there is nothing at all to worry about and that if they chose Spamedica I am sure they would be able to speak in the same glowing terms about the treatment they received - just as I have!

Was very nervous on day of operation but everone out me at ease right from the start, the booking in staff were great and helpful (as i am hard of hearing) nurses brilliant and the surgeon was very friendly and really helped me over come my nerves lovely man, an alround good team can't speak to highly of them

I went to my optometrist on 28th Oct and got referred. The referral service rang me on the 29th, where I chose Spa Medica Leics. They rang me on the 30th and offered me an assessment appointment on the 1st Dec. I had my cataract surgery on the 13th Dec. This was my 2nd eye and again all the staff, clinicians and surgeon were brilliant. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough.

With macular degeneration in my right eye I was worried about having the cataract in my only good eye seen to. I am glad to say the worry was needless. The Staff I saw were all very polite and helpful. The Surgeon was absolutely brilliant. Whilst I found the experience 'on-the-table' uncomfortable, not painful, just uncomfortable, I cannot praise the work done enough. Although my eye was sore afterwards and I was glad to get to bed that night you could have knocked me over with a feather when the next morning the eye shield was removed and after bathing my eyelids I was absolutely stunned to find I could see clearer than I could imagine. I read the number plate of a car parked over 25 metres away, without glasses, so clearly. I have maintained the post - op directions to the letter 'T' and cannot get over the clarity of vision I now have. I expected my vision to be blurred for a few days but nothing prepared me for this crystal clear vision the day after surgery. Because of the macular degeneration in my right eye, which cannot be cured, I am a bit paranoid about my left eye which I rely so heavily upon. Whether the NHS /Spa will do anything about the cataract in my right eye remains to be seen but I am hopeful they will. I feel confident that in a couple of weeks when I have my post - op check up by my optometrist, she will confirm I would clearly and easily pass the DVLA eyesight requirements which alas was rather borderline prior to the op. So thank you to all the Staff and Surgeon for such a wonderful gift, and just before Xmas, Santa couldn't have improved on that.

Both my eyes have now had the cataracts removed by Spa Medica Leicester. From the assessment appointment to the procedure appointment on both occasions every member of personal I met was friendly, helpful and informative. They all showed total intent in making me feel comfortable. The surgeon during my second procedure was excellent, explained everything to me before and during the procedure, I would highly recommend Spa Medica for cataract procedures.

Had a cataract removed at this clinic on 15th November 2023 staff very friendly and knowledgeable surgery went without a hitch surgeon very good and explained what he was going to do, now 3days post op and can already see clearly out of operated eye absolutely amazing wouldn't hesitate to recommend this eye clinic to anyone
