Thank you for the work done on my cataract removal by the surgeon and his whole team. It was a job well done. My wife and I were treated with respect throughout my whole contact with the whole SpaMedica staff at Bolton.

I was so scared, but was looked after so well. Everything was so quick and well organised. I'm actually looking forward to going back. Staff are so lovely. I highly recommend to anyone

Could not have been treated better if I was the queen the porters the nurses the surgeon all top notch very helpful and put me at ease from the start

Very caring and helpful staff were very thoughtfully always asking how they can make the visit more comfortable. As a disabled person I did not feel that anything I needed would be no bother to make me comfortable

From the first phone call arranging the pre operation to be being dis changed look 3 weeks. All the staff I meet were welcoming ,friendly and professional and everything worked in a smooth and organised way

As I got older, I noticed my eyesight deteriorating with at first only reading glasses needed, but gradually my distance sight also started deteriorating. My sight in my left eye in particular was getting worse and worse in recent years, with my prescription for glasses changing each year and it was like looking through frosted glass from that eye. This was so bad that during my annual eyesight test in early April 2024 the optician said that I needed cataract surgery and made an appointment for me to see SpaMedica in Bolton. They arranged for a pre-operative assessment the same month that was very thorough and arranged for me to have cataract surgery before the month was out. SpaMedica were extremely efficient and professional throughout the whole process and all their staff helped to put their patients at ease. It didn't just stop with the operation. They also helped with aftercare by providing a package containing eye drops to put in four times a day for 14 days together with a Medication Tracker card for you to note the dates and times you apply the drops. They even provided a pen as well as full after surgery instructions. Although I still need reading glasses, my distance sight in my left eye is now really clear, clearer than for my other eye. Actually, there is also a difference in colour. My left eye is now clear and seems to let in white light, while the other eye which has never had surgery is less clear with a kind of yellowy light. I wonder if I'll need surgery on that one too. If I do, I'll have full confidence if it is at SpaMedica in Bolton.

Very pleased with the pre op process, the actual op itself and guidance on how to do post op care activities. Vision in eye has improved significantly. Staff very friendly, from moment you enter hospital, right through the op process and until the moment you leave. Staff explained everything as you go along in a professional and caring manner which was very reassuring. Many thanks to all staff at the hospital.

Everybody I came across in Spa Medica from the receptionists and nurses to the surgeon were very caring and put me at ease immediately. The surgery was very quick and painless and I left feeling very confident.
