From entering at 8.40 to leaving at10.20 I couldn’t believe how quick, easy and efficient the process was. You are greeted and escorted upstairs to the correct department given a cup of tea and within minutes you see the nurse. Everything is explained to you in detail so you are totally at ease awaiting the procedure. You are then introduced to your surgeon and taken to theatre. The whole procedure for myself took approximately 10 minutes. You are then taken to another area, given a cup of tea before seeing another nurse for your post-op instructions. After that you are free to leave. My husband picked me up and took me home. Never have I had such an excellent experience of hospital treatment before. I would recommend SpaMedica to anyone who needs eye treatment.

I have nothing but praise for the clinic and for its friendly and caring staff. They took me through every stage of the procedure and explained everything in detail. Recommended with all possible enthisiasm.

Brilliant surgeon and fantastic staff who go out of their way to help and assist you. I’ve had both eyes done in the past few weeks and I cannot fault Spamedica Bolton 10 out of 10 for this hospital.

Very good & friendly staff. Very attentive and helpful. I was very nervous and the staff put me at ease. Quick and Efficient. All the staff were very respectful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend SpaMedica to everyone, prefer it over Royal Bolton Hospital who lack in service.

I had both cataracts done, first in April, 2nd in May. Everything went really smoothly. No long wait for procedures. Cannot fault Spa Medica staff, surgeons and service.

Very polite and professional staff. Couldn't do enough for you, from the porters to admin and nursing staff. Explained the procedure for Cataract surgery very clearly.

Have had second eyes cataracts removed. Both times I have been treated the service has been brilliant. Staff were friendly welcoming and very professional. All questions were answered and my nerves were calmed. Thank you to all concerned.

I was a little aprehensive prior to arriving at the SpaMedica clinic. After entering the building and taking a seat in the waiting room I soon felt calm. Prior to my surgery A nurse inserted a pellet under my lower eyelid, the nurse was so quick I felt nothing. When I had the cataract surgery it was neither painfull or uncomfortable. No worse than a dental check up. The actual surgery only took 10minutes or less with my total stay around 3 hours, Following the op I used the eye drops as directed , I had no pain or discomfort and it was amazing how much my sight had improved . When I had my post op check up the optician said my sight through the eye was " Superb". Around five weeks after the first surgery I went Back to have the other eye done. Again this was a similar experience to my first op. with no pain and minimal discomfort during the whole procedure. So here I am writing my review. I have needed to wear spectacles since I was a child and I am now 70. My eyesight has improved so much that now I need spectacles for reading only, Comparing my two visits for surgery, the only difference between the two surgeries was that before my second surgery I think that the surgeon could have been clearer regarding what I needed to look at while the op was in progress. Just a minor detail. Yes I can recommend Spamedica, All the Staff were friendly and efficient , and both times I was well informed how to care for my eye whilst at home after the op,

Didn’t wait long for appointment or cataract operation. All staff were extremely friendly and put you at ease. Operation was quick and painless.
