  1. Review titled Great physiotherapist

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by william vaughan thomas - Posted on 19 January 2024

I attended the St Albans Health Centre, Camden, for my first assessment. My physiotherapist was professional and reassuring throughout, whilst at the same time being friendly and collegiate. These meetings can sometimes make me quite anxious, but on this occasion I was put fully at ease. The session itself, and the advice left me feeling confident about my treatment.

  2. Review titled Caused more damage than help

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 January 2024

Osteoarthritis in knee progressed from mild and medial to severe and extensive during the 8 months that Connect Health rejected my GP’s 3-4 orthopaedic referral requests through them. Severely painful meniscal tear was not picked up and ineffective physio offered in place of expert orthopaedic investigation. In desperation paid for my own MRI scan and went to A&E on GP’s and 111 advice. I recommend you do the same if Connect Health repeatedly block you from accessing the timely care that you need in order to prevent more extensive joint damage. Utterly shameful.

  3. Review titled Truly useless

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Ian Lauriston - Posted on 07 December 2023

What is this service meant to provide that would not proceed if it were not there? I first encountered CH in May/June this year as what I thought was part of a consultation with a specialist clinician. As part of this I completed the questionnaire. I wasn't really impressed with types of question of the value of any of these. I subsequently saw the chap I wanted to see and it was very useful. I did ask him about CH and he clearly had nothing to say; I was not surprised. It is now December and I have had surgery and before heading home I saw a physio and have now heard about an appointment; great. I have also had another questionnaire, however having wasted 20+ mins on the last one I shall not be doing so again. I can only assume CH are there to give an impression something is happening when in fact nothing is happening at all. An exercise in procrastination. You have my details, why not tell me how I am wrong?

Dear Mr Lauriston I am sorry you are disappointed with some of the care you have received. The questionnaire we send to patients helps us to ensure the patient is directed to the right clinician. Sadly, I cannot comment about patient specific details around care and treatment without investigating the issues you have raised. 5. Review titled Great physio

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 January 2024

The group physio / exercise sessions were really useful and led by a supportive and knowledgeable team that regularly checked movements were done correctly and offered alternatives if someone couldn't do them. Everybody is friendly and approachable. I definitely recommend including the group sessions to the rehabilitation if you are offered them.

  6. Review titled We’ll tell you about our great program - But we won’t let you access it.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Gareth - Posted on 03 May 2024

Over the last 6 months I’ve attended 6 plus appointments letting me know I would really benefit from their pain management program. Each time I book another appointment with the promise of it starting, it ends up being another assessment to see if I would benefit from the program. I am beyond exhausted with the process. You are messing about with someone who is in pain promising to help them and then failing them without any real explanation. This is failure on so many levels. It’s such a waste of resources which the NHS cannot afford.

  9. Review titled Caused more harm than help

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 November 2023

Referred for back pain from GP. Waited 3 months. Given at phone consultation, and an email of exercises. These made the pain it worse. Waited 2 months Given a in person appointment with a junior physio. reffered to hospiyal. Waited 2 months. Saw by a senior physio, not a Dr. Sent for MRI. Waited 2 months. Discharged back to junior physio as MRI was 'normal' Waited 2 months. Got an X ray from AandE. Showing scoliosis. In person physio appointment cancelled on the day and rearranged for 3 months. This service is a money laundering front for the NHS. No one is helped. Numerous salaries are paid to waist patients time. Now saving up for a private physio, while on a significant amount of opiates. Do not have faith in the NHS. They are not there to help you.

  10. Review titled A great advert for going private

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 November 2023

A pointless, waste of time, and a great advert for going private. After filling out a lengthy questionnaire, I had a triage phone call two weeks later. This was basic and the outcome was that I should have a face-to-face appointment - two months later. So, I either put up with the constant discomfort and toll this is having on my mental health for several weeks, or pay to see a physio privately within a matter of days. An easy decision!

Good morning I am sorry that you are unhappy with the contact you have had with Connect Health. I can advise however that our waiting times are in most cases shorter than those you would expect with other NHS providers. Obviously however if you pay to see someone privately the wait is shorter however it is widely recognised that access to NHS services is currently stretched across all fields with waiting times in many cases at an all time high. I am aware you have commented on twitter as well and would again reiterate the offer of looking into your specific case in more detail. If you would like us to review this further, then please go to our internet website and contact us through the 'get in touch' section.
