    I was seen on time, and the practitioner I saw was friendly and helpful. He spent quite a bit of time assessing the issue and devising a set of exercises that would help.

    My GP referred me to Connect Health due to an ongoing chronic condition. What a waste of time! I had an initial face to face meeting where I was made to feel the pain was in my head (this despite diagnosis already being given by neurologists and pain management specialists). It was so disappointing not to see a doctor so I couldn’t discuss my pain medication and possibilities of alternatives and they offered no option for treatment except mindfulness and suggested going to the gym. I explained my specialist had specifically said not to go to the gym due to the risk of further damage and they advised this was wrong! I went to a follow up appointment 3 months later. At this appointment I decided I now had another issue, diagnosed by my GP. They dismissed this diagnosis immediately (though I have now seen a private physio who confirms by GPs diagnosis). The recommendation again was to join a gym which contradicts what I have been told to do by my specialist. Even if I could join a gym with chronic pain for over 20 years surely this is risky without recommendation of types of excercise etc. Needless to say I won’t be going back. It seems such a waste of NHS money.

    Execise program was good. Learnt a lot on how to go forward with the exercises i undertook. Looking to carry on with the program to strenghten my arms and shoulders.

    I had experience hip pain before attending. The physio gym has helped to relieve the pain and I feel more confident in everything I do. The physiotherapist also showed me exercises which relieved a muscle I had pulled in my back. Both physiotherapists are very supportive and I would recommend anyone who is given the opportunity to attend the gym physiotherapy. Connect administration are also very helpful. Thank you to all involved with this service.

    After the initial assessment I was booked into the 6 week gym course. This has been a great help and I have improved so much,this has given me so much confidence and made me stronger and I will now be able to continue exercising and enjoy getting fit again. The staff members were with you all the way with help and advice. Thankyou.

    Polite staff throughout. Thorough treatment. Although the injection itself hurt a little, the outcome is great. I can now walk about and remain independent in my open home. Still have pain but can walk without the excruciating pain.

    It has took a long time but I feel what they did for me improved my hip. Just takes so long .waiting for appointments was the hard part. They were very helpful and patient with Me. I didn't like the gym sessions but they helped me through them.

    I was referred to Connect Health by my… I was referred to Connect Health by my GP for a course on Pain management. I have paid privately for physio and chiropractic treatment and taken part in exercise classes and couldn’t bear the thought of having to constantly to be in pain. I wasn’t sure the Pain management course would be able to help if it was online with no sight of my injury, no physical manipulation etc. However, I was wrong, so wrong. Firstly, the facilitators were so welcoming, friendly and relatable and then the other participants turned out to be just like me; people plagued by chronic pain. Along with constant pain can come depression and despair and I certainly was in that category. The course starts by validating our pain and I have to say that was so empowering. For the 6 weeks we were introduced to many different tools that I have found invaluable and at last I am feeling the benefit of using them. I found the course leader to be quite inspirational, I felt he understood my feelings and how my pain was affecting my life but I never felt judged. I would highly recommend this course if you feel you need more than medication and you have an open mind.

    I have been under connect health since December-April for ligament tears. Slowly but surely, they have helped to not only build up my strength and stability in my ankle, bringing me back from being non weight baring and uses crutches to walking and building up to my usual life activities and returning to work. Its been a long and painful at times journey with clinic and gym sessions and have found everyone to be calm, friendly and professional, they are always understanding, compassionate in my frustration and pain at my worst. Finding a way to laugh rather than cry at times. Advising on better strap support and my exercises, listening to what my body needed to get to this stage. I am so grateful.
