    The manager was superb as was her team. Having an eye operation is very scary but she was fantastic and she held my hand through the whole operation. All the staff and doctors were of the highest quality. Visiting CHEC was like visiting friends and I was treated like a person not just a number as with most other hospitals or doctors I visit. Brilliant and superb, I could go on but I think you get the idea now.

    Staff were great as we were 20 minutes late due to confusion about location of the appointment ( had called ahead to inform) Nowhere to park the car as situated in the middle of industrial estate and limited spaces for patients. Had to drop off patient and park the car and walk a distance.

    Had appointments here 4 times. Twice for eye scans and twice for results and on each occasion I have been dealt with professionally and courteously. Pleasureable experience each time.

    Appointment was 20 to 3 had to wait a hour and half to be seen then was told that we were meant to be given eye drops half a hour before the appointment so after was called was given them and had to wait a further 40 mins

    I was referred by my optician due to a field loss in one eye. Issues: 1)Appointment for repeat field and OCT on a different day from appointment to see specialist. Not ideal as I needed to travel a fair distance. However the main issue was #2. 2)Consultant appeared to have made up their mind regarding diagnosis on the basis of test results before seeing me. The questions asked of me were "closed questions" needing yes/no answers, rather than allowing me to briefly describe my situation. There was no attempt to elicit relevant past history. When I was given the treatment drops, I had to prompt the consultant to find out how many drops, how often and what time of day they were to be used. I have since been seen at Moorfields for the same condition and my experience at Moorfields was much better.

    The lady doing the testing was very pleasant and kind. She was very patient and explained about the tests. She didn’t rush anything, was caring and professional and put me at ease.

    I find my appointments at CHEC Blackpool always to be very efficient and the staff who do my eye tests and vision tests to be very good. I saw a wonderful assistant today at 11.10am and she was absolutely fantastic really lovely and professional she put me at ease, she is a credit to CHEC. I sadly today found the receptionist with short fair hair and red rimmed glasses to be very abrupt, immediately saying as I walked up to the reception desk “name” rather than “hello or good morning please can I have your name” she could do with a better customer manner. She was rude to the elderly gentleman who she served after me and I felt sad that I experienced this poor treatment of this man. He was asking to order eye drops but she was very abrupt with him and he was merely asking for her help and was very polite to her. Other than this it was a great visit.
