  1. Review titled Extremely professional

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Nicole - Posted on 25 July 2024

Spent quite a bit of time at ward f16 recently. I cannot fault it, the whole team there are amazing and extremely professional. Every nurse and doctor I saw were so professional and informative and genuinely kind- (asking if I needed anything, asking if I was ok etc) I had to ring up twice from home as was concerned with my symptoms I was having and got told to come in straight away both times for monitoring. I felt at ease knowing I was being listened to and honestly can’t thank them enough on the ward. I got seen to really quickly each time I came in. There was one nurse In particular who gave me an injection I needed and saw me again the week after who was the most amazing lady I’ve ever met! She was so kind and helped me through a very tough time! I feel grateful knowing that if anything like this was to happen again in the future I have an amazing unit close by.

  2. Review titled Unexpected stay

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Nick frost - Posted on 19 July 2024

Stayed on ward f5 after heart trouble, all the staff on this ward were brilliant they put me at ease and answered any questions I had they made the say bearable. The downside was the food, it was disgraceful and hardly fit for human consumption, goo job I could purchase sandwhiches

  3. Review titled Superb staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Christine C - Posted on 22 July 2024

My 90 year old mum, who has Alzheimer’s, was admitted to Wythenshawe for a few days over the weekend. She was treated initially in Accident & Emergency then on the Urology ward. The professionalism, expertise, treatment, kindness and care from all the staff who treated her was exceptional. Every effort was made to comfort and console her during procedures and nothing was too much trouble. Nobody wants to spend time in hospital but we feel blessed to have such a fantastic local hospital. Many thanks team Wythenshawe, you are truly 5 star.

  4. Review titled Resembles a Circus

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by M Smith - Posted on 12 June 2024

Dreadful experience and left here wondering if it was a hospital or a circus. Poor attitude of staff who have clearly developed a god complex since the nation applauded them. Nobody had a clue what was going on, very poor patient care and can only assume this to be some kind of training hospital where all the inadequate staff are placed. Do not visit here.

  5. Review titled Fantastic service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Grace - Posted on 26 June 2024

My sister was admitted to resus in June. The consultant on at the time was fantastic. My sister has disabilities which are normally an obstacle in hospital but not this time. She was treated with dignity and respect, adjustments were made to make her experience more comfortable. We were listened to as family members and advocates. Blood results and x rays were fast and meant she didn’t have to wait hours for medication. When IVs had finished we were asked to let staff know so they could change them quickly. My sister was given an electric bed so she could be made more comfortable. Easily the best hospital experience she has had in 20 years.

  6. Review titled Fantastic from start to finish

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Aaron - Posted on 29 June 2024

Receptionist was lovely. Signposted the questions like a seasoned salesperson. Made it very easy Nurse who saw me, lovely, both of them. Was seen within 45 minutes, told me how long I'd be waiting by checking with maxfas team. Lady from maxfas team was brilliant. Allowed me to choose the treatment between glue and stitches and the outcome is fantastic. She sought out further care to check other injuries. Everyone went above and beyond. I'm questioning why the NHS get so much stick

  7. Review titled F14 Ward of Professionalism and Compassion

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by helen carrick - Posted on 22 June 2024

My mother passed away on this ward recently, she was 97years old. I can not praise the team who looked after her enough. Every single member of staff treated her and our family with compassion whilst delivering a highly professional and timely response to her and our family's needs. Of course the passing of a loved one is extremely difficult but exactly the right amount of hands on care, information provided and space and time to be alone with her as helped each member of our family come to terms with and accept her passing. I can not thank the staff enough for helping us through this difficult time. To every single member of the team on F14 you are a credit to your professions and to the NHS.

  8. Review titled The Journey Ahead

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 June 2024

I posted a review on the 11th March about my first experience at attending Wythenshawe Hospital, as someone on the autism spectrum, and I wanted to follow up on my recent experiences. All I can say, is thank you, your hospital has been superb, caring, efficient, and so informative every step of the way of my ongoing journey. I was lucky, perhaps that is not the right word to use, to meet a surgeon who agreed to remove my gallbladder regardless of my BMI, my own local hospital made excuses. Blood tests and scans followed, sadly the scan showed up something unexpected elsewhere, and so I have had further scans, tests, and an appointment with the Rapid Lung Diagnostic Clinic Team and this is ongoing with further tests planned until we get a definite diagnosis. It is a scary time, but had I not got my appointment back in March at Wythenshawe Hospital to begin this journey, who knows what might have happened for me. For now, I am happy and feeling optimistic that being cared for by staff at Wythenshawe Hospital has helped me immensely, from the admin staff, HCA’s, Nurses, Consultants, and the Macmillan Team both in the clinic I attended and the main drop in center. The journey ahead doesn’t feel as frightening and scary thanks to the staff I have encountered. I eventually got the travel costs issue I mentioned previously sorted out with a lovely helpful cashier at Wythenshawe.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Debbie Smith - Posted on 19 June 2024

My 90 year old mum was really anxious to have a pacemaker inserted on the 18th June, but from start to finish all staff on F2,theatre/cath lab staff were incredibly caring. There was an understanding of all mums needs and a kindness shown from all. The proceedure was carried out to a high standard by the team and she came back to the ward to be greeted with not only attentive observation but genuine care and a much needed cup of tea and toast! Grateful thanks to all the team you are all fantastic! Debbie
